Daily Inspiration: August 2. Listening Is Both an Act of Kindness and Growth

Listening, truly paying attention, is a wonderful and beautiful act of kindness. We are all One, and so when anyone is speaking to us, it is also a part of God that is doing so. We are all One, and so when anyone else is speaking to us, they represent a part of ourselves that we have not yet heard. Listening to others is thus not only an act of love, but also and equally, of self-love. So many times during our conversations we interrupt each other. By doing so we teach ourselves that not every part of us is worthy of listening to. Yet, out of almost 8 billion people on this planet, God has put him or her, specifically in front of you. God is in essence trying to speak to you, through them. Yet still, the ego continues to try to convince you not to pay attention. Being all One, if we are not truly paying attention, then we are not fully respecting ourselves. In essence, by not listening to others, we are disavowing God’s message to us. We will never feel heard or loved by God, nor at peace with ourselves, if we are not listening to what He is trying to share. The ego, by convincing you not to listen to others, is trying to further separate you from God. Anytime the ego separates you from another, it is reinforcing the false idea that you are separate from God, and that we are not all One. By seeing others as unworthy of being heard, you will be disrespecting parts of yourself, and thus poisoning yourself through your own actions. No one who is constantly poisoning himself or herself with their own actions, will ever find true rest or peace of mind. Today, remember that your brothers and sisters are worthy of being heard, simply because God has sent them to you. Today, lovingly listen to others as they speak. Do so, so that you may remind yourself, that you too are worthy of God’s message and company.

Today, when the ego tries to convince you that you are unworthy of being listen to and heard, simply recall that you are God’s creation, and thus forever worthy. You are as much a gift from God to humanity, as humanity is a gift from God to you. When you encounter anyone remember, that it is God who has placed them before you. They are God’s messengers. They are here to help remind you of the Divinity in you, of the love that you have come here to be and share. Being all One, when you listen to and respect all those that are placed before you, you remind yourself that you too are worthy of being heard. The more you practice interacting with others in this patient, loving and respectful manner, the more natural this behavior will become. The more natural this behavior becomes, the more connected to God and others you will feel. The more connected to them you feel, the more you will desire to listen to what they have to say. By respecting them, they are offering you the opportunities to practice respecting your whole-self, and thus coming into a conscious alignment with the light in you. The light in you is what you have come here to be and share, and so all others are simply offering the opportunities to fulfill your mission here on Earth. Today, when you meet anyone remember, that they   have been placed before you to help you recall your perfect worth. What else but gratitude would be an appropriate response to those who are helping you recall your perfect worth? They are helping you see that you are indeed worthy of being One with God, and thus of being a representative of Love on Earth. You are indeed worthy of God. This is what The Divine is trying to remind you of every time He offers you the opportunity to listen to His messengers.

Today, know that the ego will try to take away your attention from what a brother or sister is saying. Let us today practice catching ourselves when our attention is fading. Then, let us consciously return our full attention to the gift that God has placed before us. We will know when the ego is playing its childish little games, because when someone is speaking to us, we will start tuning physically and mentally away from them. We will start wondering about other things, or thinking of what our response to them will be, all this instead of just listening. Today, let us learn use such times, but not to judge ourselves for not being respectful. Instead, let us see such situations as opportunities that are being presented to us to help us return our focus back to God’s message. When we do so, we become fully present. It is when we are fully present, that we can hear the gift and message that is being presented to us. When listening to others, don’t think about, or concern yourself with, what your response will be. Don’t worry about how good or smart you think you need to sound. Simply listen, and be there fully for them. The more you practice being silent, patiently and lovingly listening, the more you will get to hear God’s message. The more you hear God’s message through others, the more grateful of the messengers you will become. The more you react with gratitude towards God’s messengers, the more peaceful and joyful you will become. What is God message to you today? Listen to others as they deliver His personal message to you. Always remind yourself that it is not by chance that God’s messenger, your brother or sister, is speaking to you. Keep checking in on yourself when you feel your focus failing. Keep returning your attention back to the now, back to that brother or sister who is in front of you. Then offer your them the wondrous and beautiful gift of your true attention and total presence.

Today, let us recall that the people we are interacting with are God’s messengers.  When we are fully present, we hear the Divine sharing what aspect of Love we are meant to be in the moment. Today, ignore the ego when it tries to convince you that others aren’t worth your time or effort. Being all One, when you deny their worth, you dismiss your own self-worth, and thus feel unworthy of hearing God’s message. Today, if you find your mind drifting away from what others are saying, recall that is just the ego trying to take your attention away from the sacred nature of the now. Basically, this is the ego trying to silence God. Reject the ego’s efforts, by acknowledging to yourself the gift that God has placed before you. Be silent, and keep your full attention on what they are saying. Then offer your gratitude to God for His message, guidance and messengers.

Thank you Donna for being open to the message.

Indeed, listening is an act of love. When you are acting in alignment with the energy of Love who is God you are walking hand in hand with our Creator.

Today, simply practice being silent and listening. Then in silence align with the energy of love and offer only those thoughts to all those that God sends your way. When you do so you will feel at peace and fulfilled because in essence you will be doing what God created you do to, to be a loving light in this world.

All glory to God.

Peace. JBC

Thank you so much for your daily messages. They are always very timely. This paticular one triggered a question. – to make a long story short; there are a few people in my life that I am practicing seeing them as God sees them, applying forgiveness and that they never really did anything to me anyway- thus the illusion. However, I do not want to physically see them and do not answer their phone calls. We are just very different in the physical and I really do plan my time around people and things that are uplifting. Is it wrong to not answer them and be around them?

Thank you Mary for being open to the message.

Always do what brings you peace, and you will always be at peace.

When in doubt, ask Peace what It would have you do, then do that. Sometimes Peace might say do not answer the phone, and sometimes It might ask you to pick up the phone.

When in doubt in any moment about what to do, simply invite God in, and ask Him to lead the way. Do so and you will be at peace where ever you go and with who ever you are with.

You are here, in every moment, because Good needs you in that moment. He places you in that moment, with His children, to represent Him, Love here on Earth.

You are never in any moment or interaction by chance. No, you are there because of God’s trust in you, because He knows that you can help guide His children Home, through your loving example, back to the states of peace and joy.

When in doubt remember, that you have co-design your journey with God, with Perfection Himself, and thus in reality every step along your sacred path, no matter what decision you choose to make, no matter how the ego has programmed you to define and see it, is a gift from God to you, and a gift from you to this world.

Today, when making any decision, first align with God, with your Co-Designer, and then do what Love is inviting, and gently guiding you, to do.

Peace. JBC
