Daily Inspiration: May 13. A Peaceful Mind is Ultimately Our Responsibility

The more our mind focuses on achieving a state of peace, the more peaceful our brothers, sisters and this world will appear to be. Equally so, the more our mind focuses on judging and being angry, the more those exact same individuals will seem bothersome and “deserving” of our judgment and condemnation. Today, let us note that it is not actually other individuals who are defining our state of mind; it is our state of mind that is giving definition to those individuals. The power to focus on what we desire to experience resides within us, not in the outside world. So let us practice developing a peaceful mind by providing our minds with the tools that will support the experiences we want. As we do, we practice becoming who we desire to be.

Peace is an expression of Love, and Love is who God is. Anytime you are aligning with any of Love’s expressions, you are, in one form or another, aligning with the state of peace. Love has numerous expressions such as those of compassion, kindness, hope, healing, forgiveness, generosity, charity, laughter and joy. When you are expressing or sharing any of them, you are aligning with God, and thus with the state of peace. To increase the amount of peace in your life, throughout your day, offer any of Love’s numerous expressions. Being all One, when you offer any of Love’s expressions, you will in essence experience them yourself. You, in essence, in every moment decide how much peace you get to experience, by what you choose to, consciously or not, offer to others. Today, simply recall that you are Love’s creation and offer all others only who in truth you are. Then all the peace that you wish to experience, you will have.

Today, let us look for and support thought patterns that we have used in the past that reinforce and strengthen a peaceful mind. Has choosing forgiveness over judgment supported the state of peace in our minds and life? Has choosing to trust in God’s plan for our life over the ego’s plan, not also brought us less worry and stress, and thus more peace to our life? Has deciding to be kind and loving over being unkind and hateful, not also brought us greater peace to our hearts and minds. Eating healthy meals, deep breathing, stretching and exercising, all seem to strengthen our internal alignment with the state of peace. Little by little we start to realize, that the state of peace comes to us in dozens of forms. The state of peace, because it is an expression of God’s Love, is actually always, in any moment, available to us. The state of peace simply patiently waits for our focus to return to it, so that we may experience, share and enjoy it. Today, let us allow the understanding that the state of peace is always, in one form or another, available to us, to fill us with a deep sense of gratitude. Indeed offer gratitude to all those who travel with you on the sacred path that you have co-designed with God, and by doing so make the state of peace your constant companion. Today, practice being grateful for more and more things, people and situations, during your day. Do so and this feeling and expression of gratitude will lead you on the road to peace. Allow the feeling of gratitude to flow through you and throughout your day as you offer it to others. You can do so in numerous ways. Be appreciative to God for your health. You can be grateful for the food on your plate, and to those who made it possible for that food be there. You can be grateful to those who join you in your meals, for their company. Gratitude, like all other expressions of Love, will help lead you to a mind that rest in the state of peace.

Today, in your journal, write down everything that in your past has helped you align with the state of peace. On another page, write down everything that seems to take away your peace of mind. On a day-to-day basis look to place more of your time, focus and energy on supporting the thoughts, words, actions, reactions and interactions that support the state of peace. Then decipher those instances or ways of thinking that decrease your peace of mind. Keep reminding yourself that it is you who has ultimate control and responsibility over the thoughts you think. Allow the state of peace to be a symbol to you that you are in control of your thoughts. Allow a lack of peace, to become a symbol to you, that it is the ego’s programming and mindset that are in control of your thinking. Remember, that you have free will, thus in the end it is your reactions to other people’s actions, not their actions, that shape and color your experience. Your internal condition, your peace of mind, is your responsibility. Today, let us no longer support thoughts, words, actions, reactions, and interactions, that are not supporting the journey we want to experience. The more we consciously stop supporting what does not bring us peace, the sooner we will see the how much actual control we have over our levels of peace. The more you notice the control that you have over your reality, the more personal responsibility you will begin to take for it. The more personal responsibility you take for your peace of mind, the more empowered you will feel, and the better example you will set for those who are still feeling lost within the darken corners of the ego’s foreign mindset.

Today, let us practice taking greater personal responsibility for our peace of mind. Let us note that it is not other people’s actions, but our reactions to their actions, the affect our level of peace. The more clearly we understand this, the more empowered we will feel to choose peace. Peace is one of Love’s many expressions, and thus when you are choosing any of Love’s expressions, you are in essence aligning with the state of peace. Compassion, kindness, forgiveness and joy are all expressions of Love, of who in truth we are. Today, allow the state of peace to show you when you are aligning with the truth in you. Also, allow a lack of peace to show you that you are somewhere you do not belong, that you have drifted away from your sacred path. Today, before making any decision, remind yourself that your goal is peace – to in every moment become a representative of peace on Earth. Then remember that it is only by deciding in alignment with your true loving nature, that you will reach your desired destination, and by doing so fulfill your function here on Earth.

I find I have peace when I’m doing things I love to do and when I am where I am that is a place where there is calmness and tranquility and I must say that place is at home. Where I can shut out the chaos and craziness that is going on in the world.

Thank you Cassandra for being open to the message.

The idea is also to recall that it is we who control our thoughts and that our thoughts should not be controlling us. Once back in control of our thoughts, once our thoughts and mind are aligned with Love, with the Mind of God, we can have peace where ever we go.

Something that helps along that path when the ego’s mindset and programming calls out for judgment, chaos and craziness is to substitute those thoughts with thoughts of gratitude, compassion and kindness. Another thing that helps is allowing this judgment, chaos and craziness not to sink you deeper into the darkness by having you focus your time and energy on them – but instead to use them as a trigger to help you practice trusting God, in the Devine Design more.

Peace. JBC
