Imagine flying in spirit form – over faraway lands you have only seen in books or on television. This is possible. Imagine going to heaven and experiencing the place you call home in between incarnations. This is possible. Imagine meeting your spirit guides and having the most wonderful conversations; receiving knowledge about your life and the issues you are now dealing with. This is possible. Imagine seeing and conversing with any relative or friend who has passed on, and laughing as you share old memories. This is possible. Imagine the most beautiful scenery painted in the most brilliant and dynamic colors you have ever seen. This is possible. Imagine listening to angels sing. This, and so much more, is possible if you decide to be conscious for a small part of the eight hours during sleep at night.
God has given you the precious gift of free will and freedom, but you must choose what you want to experience. Free will does not suddenly stop once you fall asleep. Most people live their lives in different levels of the dream state, and sleep is just one of them.
The world that is yours to explore during the dream state will surpass any conception that you may now have of it. Four subjects that I will touch on to assist you on your journey are lucid dreams, out-of-body experiences (OBEs), prayer and meditation. I will discuss these topics briefly, for there are many books available on these subjects.
Before we go any further, I would like to remind you that the main use for these tools is to assist you in remembering who you are. Like all tools, they can be used, with or without discernment. How you use them is your choice. If you choose to use them with discernment, they will assist you in remembering your Godself, and bringing this Godself into your daily experience. This will offer you greater peace of mind and joy in each moment. If you use them without discernment, you will simply add to your confusion. It is again your choice to make.
