Chapter 12: At Peace With The Afterlife
You Have Chosen to Remember: A Journey of Self-Awareness, Peace of Mind and Joy by James Blanchard Cisneros.
My friend, the ego would have you believe that obtaining peace with a loved one who has passed on is difficult or even impossible to accomplish. But the only barriers that exist between accomplishing or not accomplishing this are the ones that you yourself have chosen to believe and perceive as real. To experience such an event, all you need is your honest and deep desire to do so, and your faith in the possibility.
In Chapter 11, I offered you an invitation after the story about Texas. The same meditation used for that invitation may be used here. Simply set the intention by speaking through your heart and expressing what you desire to achieve. It is that simple. If, for whatever reason, you do not have an experience that first night, do not judge or criticize yourself. Simply keep trying until you achieve or receive peace in regard to what you are trying to accomplish. Be open, for peace may arrive in many forms. Do not concern yourself with form, with achieving or receiving a specific type of experience, but simply invite and be open to receiving peace. Peace will be offered, and soon you will experience a shift.
