There Are No Limits On This Road

Chapter 10: Taking Responsibility For Your Destiny

An excerpt from You Have Chosen to Remember: A Journey of Self-Awareness, Peace of Mind and Joy by James Blanchard Cisneros.

33  If it falls your lot to be a street sweeper, sweep streets like Michelangelo painted pictures, like Shakespeare wrote poetry, like Beethoven composed music…

– Martin Luther King Jr.

Your purpose in life – your life’s mission – will be something you love and take great joy in. Joy is a natural expression of one who is fulfilling his or her purpose. What offers you peace? What gives you joy? What do you love to do? All these are clues to the destiny that you’re trying to reach, your life’s mission. Believe in yourself and trust that the universe is in your corner. Reach within, listen to the whispers of your heart, and bring what is within you out into the world. This is how you will begin to manifest and live your wishes and dreams.

There are mass thought forms that set up certain limits, boundaries, rules and regulations that the ego says you must follow. Respect what people see as real, but if it does not fit with what your heart and soul wish to bring forth, experience and express, then follow your heart. Be sure to ask yourself why you are doing what you are doing. The question of why you choose to participate in an activity is actually more important to answer and understand than the question of what activity you want to participate in. Ask your soul if what you are currently engaging in is something that you are doing for yourself and your highest good, because it brings you peace of mind and joy, or if it is something that you are doing because your family expects you to fulfill their dreams. Are you doing this to please them, to live up to an image of your peers, or to receive recognition from society?

Imagine, just for a moment, that you had no images to fulfill, no pressure from your family, friends, peers or society; what would you do with your life? What would bring you peace of mind and joy? How could you best serve this world? My brother and sister, the only limits that exist in this world are those we choose to see and allow to be real within our minds.
