The ego has programmed us to condemn others and ourselves for having in the past experienced difficult and tiring times. It tries to convince us that we experienced such times, in those manners, because we were bad or weren’t wise or spiritual enough. Today we practice reversing the thinking of the ego’s world, and make the conscious choice to try see and understand those difficult times as the blessings that they truly were…
As children we were taught to believe that the ego’s fairy tale is true. We were programmed to believe that all of the ego’s tools such as judgment of self and others, frustration, anxiety, anger, resentment and revenge are all ‘natural’ responses and ‘normal’ behaviors. But little by little, as we become more self aware, we start to notice how unalike these emotions, energies, and reactions are to our core, the truth within us, and so we begin to discard them, and little by little close the book on them, let them go. We begin recalling that God is truly Love, and that God is all, and therefore all is love and because we are His/Her creations so too must we be love. We start to notice how when we reacted through love and its expressions such as peace, forgiveness, compassion, joy, and charity, we feel good, and this feels truly natural, normal, and right…
Your highest will and God’s Will for you are One. God’s Will for your life, is your highest will for your life. When the Bible says “Thy Will be done” it is equally and also saying “May my/your highest will be done,” there is no difference. We are all One, and so it should not be so difficult to believe that God’s will for you and your highest will are connected, are One? Ask yourself; do you not want the best, most beautiful, joyful, passion filled, and loving life for your children? Do you not hope and pray for their health, happiness, and peace every day? Do you not think that our Creator’s Will for All His children is at the very least as equally loving and supportive as your will is for your children?…
Today we begin to close the book on a fairy tale read to us long ago, over and over again, until we forgot its illusionary nature. Today let us make the conscious choice to stop feeding the illusionary dragon of worry. As complicated, confusing, and complex as the ego’s fairy tales may sometimes appear; truth is always simpler than the ego would have you believe…
Today we choose to leave this world, not through death, but by changing our minds about its purpose. Today we end our outside search for a truth and purpose that has always resided within. Respectfully, today we do not ask our family, friends, peers, or society what we should or should not do or be, instead we go within and ask our souls to remind us of why we made the choice to come here, and what our sacred mission is…
This New Year’s Day when the calendar reminds us that we can all once again begin anew, let us remember that it is we who should be writing and staring in the story of our own journey. We have all been gifted free will, the power to do with the present moment as we wish. Let us use the present moment to practice aligning with our Source, and with His/Her support exhibit a little more personal leadership and courage each day…
