The physical world is a gift to us. One way that it is a gift is that it shows us a reflection of where we are out of alignment with the loving mind of God. Today, if you see another person with anything other than love, such as with anger, jealousy or resentment, ask yourself these questions: “Who is the one thinking these thoughts? Who is the one who ends up holding onto and carrying this emotion? What is the ‘act’ of carrying this emotion around day and night doing to me?” Then ask yourself: “Is feeling anger, jealousy or resentment really worth more to me than my peace of mind and joy? Is anger, jealousy or resentment a real part of me, or does it feel like I’m carrying around something that does not belong to me? Why should I continue to carry a weight and burden that does not belong to me?”
Today, the physical world helps us better see and understand what is separating us from the love that is our true nature. Love is who we are, came here to be, and represent. The more quickly we can recognize when we are out of alignment with love, the less time we will suffer supporting a mindset that does not support us. The less we defend the ego’s mindset, the more quickly it dissolves and fades away from our consciousness. A doorway that takes us from the ego’s judgment-based mindset to the state of peace is forgiveness. Today, when the ego demands judgment, let us instead forgive, over and over again, until we fully realize the wisdom of this path. If we do not feel strong enough to forgive, then let us ask God to forgive for us, until we align our thinking with the mind of God.
