If you are having problems breaking out of negative thinking patterns, consider trying the following: Instead of thinking, deciding and reacting for yourself, ask God or any self-actualized being that you love, respect and trust to help lead you through your decision making process. God is Love and All. So if you are not experiencing loving thoughts, then know that the truth in you is not leading the way. Negative thoughts or thinking patterns are signs that show you that your ego-self is in control. Today, when an unloving thought pops up, practice catching yourself as quickly as possible. Then say to yourself: “Ok, an unloving thought is a sign that the ego is controlling my thinking. I know that my ego-self is not the truth in me. Now, I set it aside and ask God, the Love in me, to lead the way.”
Today, when a negative thought pops up, gently remind yourself that anything that seems to be in opposition to God, Love, All, is not real or true. Remind yourself: “This negative thought about myself or others is a lie. Now I know that only the Love in me is true. And because we are all One, its also true for everyone. I’m self-aware enough to be able to see this negative thought as the falsity that it is. I forgive myself for thinking lies. Now I only reinforce my loving, nurturing thoughts as true. I will no longer spend my time supporting thoughts that don’t support me. Today, I gently forgive my misperceptions and my negative thinking patterns. I then gracefully align with my loving thoughts and nature, and in gratitude become who I was created to be.”
