Daily Inspiration: February 24. Repeating “Negative” Patterns – Condensed Version
When we repeat what we perceive to be a “negative” pattern, it is mainly because we have not yet recognized the gift that it is trying to offer us. If we have yet to realized the gift in any situation, then let us today stop, ask ourselves, and think about: “What/Where is the gift/lesson for me in this pattern?” As an expression of God’s Love, the universe is eternally generous and kind; it will offer us innumerable opportunities to end patterns we keep insisting on repeating, and it is in this understanding, where the gift of peace resides. When we place our trust in God, we realize that even so-called negative patters are happening to help us grow. What separates us from peace and joy, is not our experience, but a lack of understanding that everything in our life is serving a higher purpose.
Today, when you catch yourself once again repeating a pattern that you do not want, do not put yourself or others down for once again falling into the ego’s dark ditch. Instead consider trying these five things: First, place your trust in God, recall that because God is Love and All, that every moment of your experience will be used for your good. Second, to let go of this negative pattern, do so through Love’s tools, with forgiveness and compassion, not through the ego’s judgment nor resentment. Third, offer forgiveness not only to yourself, but also to all others involved. Fourth, anytime the ego once again wants you to judge and be resentful, take this as a sign and signal to again offer forgiveness to self and others. Fifth, offer gratitude, thank them for volunteering to be part of a process that is helping you awaken.
All glory to God.
