Daily Inspiration: January 29. Gratitude and the Gift of Free Will – Condensed Version
We can, thanks to free will, define each moment as helpful and useful for our growth, healing and awakening. By doing so, peace of mind, joy and understanding, result. Yet equally so, we can experience those same events as being injurious to us, and thus become upset, sad, depress and hurt, by our life experience. Let us today understand that it is not the outside world that should define how we feel about it, it is our internal condition, our interpretation of the events, that gives them their meaning. It may at first seem like a heavy task to bear, that it is up to us how much peace of mind and joy we get to experience in this world. But in reality there is nothing more freeing and wonderful than being responsible for how we feel, than having the keys to our own peace of mind and joy.
Today, recall that God is Love and All, and thus when you are experiencing anyone in a less than loving manner, take this as a sign that the ego is thinking for you. Then recall that you have been gifted free will, and can therefore choose a more compassionate and loving way to see this individual. The more you can practice noticing when the ego is in control of your thinking, the more quickly you will be able to take back control of your mind. You will know when you are in control of your mind, when your words, actions and reactions are loving in nature. By becoming more responsible for our feelings, emotions and reactions, we strengthen our understanding of free will. This then helps serve as an example to others, that their peace of mind and joy, are always just a choice away.
All glory to God.
Peace, Health, Happiness, Love, Laughter, and Light.
