Angels are God’s messengers. God’s message is love. Love has numerous expressions such as compassion, forgiveness, peace and joy. When you are sharing any of these expressions with others, in essence, you are being God’s messenger. The message does not need to be a grand act or speech. In fact, most of the time it’s something as simple as a gentle smile, a caring touch, a non-judgmental ear, a kind word or a shared laugh. As Love’s expressions, these are all God’s messages. These are all messages that you are being asked to deliver. Opening the door for someone delivers God’s message of kindness. Listening to someone as they share their troubles delivers God’s message of thoughtfulness. Forgiving someone, when the ego insists that you don’t, offers God’s message of compassion.
Today, let us learn to recognize when we are delivering or withholding God’s message of love. When we are delivering the message, a sense of fulfillment is felt because, in essence, we are doing what we were created to do. When we are doing what we were created to do, a sense of peace, balance, joy and purpose is felt. When we are withholding the message of love, we feel unfulfilled. A sense of incompletion and a lack of balance and peace are felt because we are not doing what we were created to do. When we are withholding the message of love from others, we feel separate from them, lonely, sad, lost and disappointed in ourself. Yet, do not despair. For thanks to free will, the opportunity to once again share the message of love is available to us in each and every moment.
