Daily Inspiration: June 15. Offering Our Past Self Gratitude Instead of Judgment – Condensed Version

When we look at our past, we can recall situations that once brought us thoughts of anxiousness, anger and resentment, that we now deal with in a more productive, peaceful and mature manner. Now, the same type of situations may occur, but thanks to our life experiences, our reactions and attitudes toward them and ourself are now more calm, positive and loving. We learned that there are better ways of dealing with these types of issues and situations. A more experienced and mature attitude has brought us a greater ability to be compassionate, peaceful and understanding. Looking back, we can see that the ability to choose peace in such situations had always been available to us. It was simply the way we looked at, reacted to and interacted with them that needed seasoning.

Today, let us better understand and appreciate what our past self has done for us. Let us realize how much we have grown because of our past self. Let us be grateful for how much wisdom we have accumulated, thanks to our past self. When we judge our past, because we have co-created it with God, we are judging God as wrong. Real peace of mind and joy cannot be achieved as long as we are constantly judging the Divine as incompetent or wrong. When we instead look at our past and past self with gratitude, this becomes a way of thanking God. Being grateful to our Source is a path to peace. When gratitude, instead of judgment, becomes our response to the past, the present moment is free to become a gift from God to us, and from us to this world.

All glory to God.

Peace, Health, Happiness, Love, Laughter, and Light.

I don’t know if I can offer gratitude . ..I have been very very narcissistic . ..separate completely from god. I am grateful to all the teachings and teachers who are helping me to change . .I am so grateful for that. I am still in my ego alot and have to pray alot to get out of it.

Thank you missn for your comment.

Every time that you feel an unloving thought try to enter your mind, do put yourself down for this. Instead, see it as a gift from the Universe, helping remind you that you do not have to be stuck with this way of thinking. See it as the Universe showing you, that there is another way, that you are indeed forever worthy of love and peace.

The Universe is simply offering you an opportunity to practice choosing a loving, peaceful and forgiving thought, over a unloving judgmental and unforgiving thought. The more you practice this, the more natural this way of being will become.

Today, simply practice thanking, not judging, all the times that the Universe in essence is saying to you that It loves you. Thank it for helping you practice remembering, that you are worthy of peace and joy.

Peace. JBC
