The ego’s senseless demands, its door-less darkened maze, sends us in numerous directions, all promising but never delivering the love, peace of mind, hope and joy we want. Is it any wonder why so many people feel a sense of hopelessness in this world? Judgment of self and others, anger anxiousness, worry, fear and doubt are all paths within the ego’s maze. There are no doors, no roads, no ways to escape the ego’s maze other than to awaken from its nightmare. It is by awakening that we rise above its mindless battlefields. The ego, being unreal, cannot deliver hope, only hopelessness. This is why so many in this world are feeling lost and hopeless as they continue to follow the ego’s directions. They are the blind being led by the blind. The ego’s nightmare, no matter how logical, rational and real it may appear to be at the time, will never deliver to us the hope we seek.
Today, awakened, it is we who will bring the light of hope to those living in the darkness of despair. Today, it is we who (through our thoughts, words and actions) will help those dreaming in the darkness awaken to the light within. Where there is sadness, we will be the light of hope that guides them to a place of joy. Where there is anxiousness, worry, fear or doubt, we will show them how to trust the Divine more, and by doing so let them see that even in such instances hope resides. Today, if our brothers and sisters are drowning in judgment of self or others, we will help them remember that thanks to free will, peace and hope are always just a simple choice away.
