Daily Inspiration: October 4. The Relationship Between Judgment and Time – Condensed Version

When you feel like you’ve been hurt by someone and you just can’t seem to stop thinking judgmental thoughts about the person, do not despair. Do not sink deeper into the darkness. Instead, learn to see such situations as opportunities to practice restructuring your relationship to time — to the past, present and future. You have been gifted free will. It is only you, through the thoughts you think, who can drag the past into the present, and thus create a present and future like your past. Today, forgive your past and release your pain. When you do, you can return your awareness to the eternal now, where the peace of God forever resides. The ego will insist that others must still be judged and punished for what they did to you in the past. But truly ask yourself, “Who am I really punishing when I think this way?”

Today, let us practice releasing the past and future, and returning our awareness to the now. We can do this by letting go of judgmental thoughts that hold us captive to our past, and worrisome thoughts that have us fearing our future. Today, let us replace judgment with forgiveness, and worry with a greater trust in the Divine. Forgiveness, trust and compassion are all signs of being aligned with the present moment, the Holy instant, where the love of God forever resides. Let us also be grateful to anyone who, through their participation in our life, is offering us the opportunity to choose and reinforce who we are in truth. The more we practice doing this, the quicker we will return to the state of peace, which itself is a sign of being in the now, of our true essence, nature and Home.

All glory to God.

Peace, Health, Happiness, Love, Laughter, and Light.

(1) Wish there were a way to share to my facebook timeline. Maybe there is and I don’t know how? (2) More and more thoughts surface or I recognize my behavior that lets me know I have not “forgiven” as I thought I had. So I just keep trying.

Thank you Louisa for being open to the message and for being a member of our community.

1 – The condense and full version of these post are also posted on Facebook. Just put in the FB search bar: “You Have Chosen to Remember” and it will take you to our FB page. There, you can then share it with others on your FB timeline.

2 – Every time a judgmental thought pops into your mind and tries to take your peace of mind and joy away, do not judge yourself for this, instead be grateful to God that you have another opportunity to practice forgiveness, and thus to heal your own mind.

The more you practice forgiving others, because we are all One, the more worthy of forgiveness, and thus of peace of mind and joy you will feel.

Then after a while of practicing, and yes sometimes a long while, it start to just become second nature to forgive useless and silly judgment centered thoughts that pop in, and thus it becomes more natural for you to be at peace and joyful.

Peace. JBC

James, kindly tell me how you get such easy thoughts? Forgiving others those who have hurt us and also forgiving self for hurting others is not that easy! Ego keeps us stuck, but, yes, ofcourse, to whom are we punishing by our judgements?!
Thanks!

Archana, thank you for being open to the message.

Ask yourself, what is truly harder, is it harder to judge others, be angry at them, hold unto resentment, and plan your revenge? Or is it harder to trust that God has a perfect plan in place for all of us, forgive our brothers and sisters, and by doing so be at peace?

Always remember, that because you are God’s creation, you are forever worthy of peace, and because we are all One, all of us are worthy of this same gift, the gift of peace.

To forgive yourself for past transgressions can be very freeing

Thank you Mary for being a member of our community.
