When we hold onto anger and judgmental thoughts about others, we poison ourself. Today, let us decide to no longer hold anyone a prisoner within our own mind. The ego will try to convince us that we have every right to be and feel angry and judgmental. But has that advice ever brought us the peace of mind and joy we desire and deserve as God’s creations? Has our decision to follow the ego’s guilt-centered programs ever calmed our mind while we try to fall asleep? Has anger ever helped us wake up with a clear conscience, feeling lighthearted, joyful and free? Today, let us remember that no matter how right we have been programmed by the ego to feel about our anger and judgment, the destination of peace and joy are not found by traveling the ego’s roads.
Today, let us take a look back at our judgment and anger and note that they have offered us nothing that we want. Then let us ask ourself why would we continue to support a mindset that is not supportive of us? We desire the peace and joy of God. As His children, we are forever worthy of them. Today, if the ego demands that we once again follow its dead-end roads, let us stop its line of thinking. Then let us recall that these roads do not take us to where we want to be. Knowing this, let us now only follow our Father’s lead. Our Father is Love, and Love has many expressions such as compassion, grace and understanding. Today, before every interaction, remind yourself: “I am God’s creation. I am worthy of God’s peace and joy. Today I offer everyone what I desire to experience myself.”
All glory to God.
