Daily Inspiration: April 22. Why We Sometimes Feel Lost and Confused

Imagine, equating your life to a dream. During a dream, no matter how real, frustrating or scary it gets, most of us do not realize that we are dreaming. It is only after we awaken from the dream, that we fully realize the illusionary nature of the dream. Equally so, in life, many times we ‘act’ like someone who deep down inside we know we are not. When we are living through fear’s expressions such as those of judgment, stress, anger, resentment and hate, we are being who we are not. We are being who the ego has programmed us to be. Choosing to be right instead of happy, condemning others instead of being compassionate, holding unto resentment instead of forgiving, these are all symbols of one who believes the ego’s programs as real and thus sees the dream as real. God is Love and All, thus anything apart from Love is not real. We are all One. When we try to punish ‘someone else,’ who is in reality only a reflection and representation of our internal condition, we are dreaming. The more we focus on the dream, the more real it appears to be, and thus the more we defend it as real, as being our truth, who we are. Yet, no matter how real any of your dreams may appear, once you awaken, you will see that none of them were real nor you. You may through fear, anger and resentment, see self or others as something other than love, but this occurs not because of anything of that is true, but because you are buying into the dream as true. Awaken and you will again see them and yourself as you truly are and were created to be. Today, see each child of God, only as a child of God. Today, see Love, as only Love. When you feel conflicted, lost and confused, this is not your truth, this is simply symbols of one who is asleep to their true nature. When you feel at peace and joyful, these are also symbols, but of one who has awaken to the truth in them and has thus taken their rightful place on Earth.

We have been programmed to call the dream – reality. Then we wonder why so many of us feel conflicted, lost and confused. Do not despair, for having the self-awareness that you are not where you should be, begins to awaken you from the dream. Judgment of self and others, anxiousness, anger, resentment, hate and thoughts of revenge, none of these are the truth in you. All of these are simply symbols of a mind asleep. Love and its expressions such as compassion, kindness, forgiveness, generosity, peace, and joy, are all symbols of one who has awaken and is in alignment with the truth in them. When you find yourself within the dream, do not despair, simply recognize that you are somewhere that you do not belong. Then, allow that self awareness to begin to awaken you. Today, allow any of the symbols of the dream, to become your own personal alarm clock, a signal to you that you have slept long enough. When you experience them, do not judge yourself or others, for doing so will only keep you dreaming. Instead, offer them your gratitude, for helping you realize, that it is now time for you to awaken. Why would you ever again need to hold unto anger, resentment and hate, if you but recall that all that anyone is ever doing, is helping you awaken from your sleep? They are simply helping you awaken from the dream you think is real. Why would you need to feel bad about yourself, and not be able to forgive yourself, if you but recall that everything other than the love that you offered others, was simply offered to them while you slept? The dream, was never real. The dream, will never be real. Only the Love of God could ever be real or true, and you can in truth only ever be what God is.

Today, let us notice that when we offer love, who in truth we are, we feel blessed and joyful, and experience clarity and peace. When we offer judgment, anger and hate, who in truth we are not, we feel off balanced and lost, and experience inner confusion and chaos. Today, let us no longer use such confusing and chaotic times to put ourselves or others down. Instead, let us use them to trigger in us the memory, that it is now time for us to awaken. Now, we realize that everything that we had been programmed to buy into as real within the dream, is only there to help us awaken from it. When this truth is recalled your response to the dream and those in it becomes one of gratitude, not of judgment and fear. This is how you begin to make peace with your past, by seeing and understanding its useful nature. If everything is, after all is said and done, of use to help you awaken from the dream, then why would you need to continue to support or carry any type of anger, resentment or thoughts of revenge? Now, we understand that the true purpose for the fears within our dreams, where to simply help awaken us from the dream. If you are reading this now, the time for feeling lost and confused is ending, and the time for peace and clarity has begun. You may think you have traveled far and experienced many difficult and challenging things, but once you awaken, you will always do so in a place that you have never left. Regardless of the dreams you dream, when you awaken, you will do so in God’s Loving arms. Be at peace knowing, that no matter what you experience within the dream, God knows that you were simply dreaming, and thus has no need to judge you. God only loves you because He is only Love, and no dreams you ever dream can change what God knows of you.

Today, let us recall that feeling lost and confused does not mean there is something wrong with us or that we are not wise, spiritual or good enough. These feelings are simply signs that our mind is temporarily asleep to our true nature. All of our experiences within the dream have brought us to this place where we are ready to wake up. Knowing this, let us now offer our gratitude to those who participated in our dreams. When we offer gratitude to all those we once judged, it is a sign that our mind is awakening to our true nature. Gratitude, peace and clarity are all aspects of love, all expressions of the awakened mind. The more we choose to align with any of the aspects of the awakened mind, the less lost and confused we will feel, and thus the less judgmental we will be toward others.

I too would like to hear your thoughts on the death of a child. My granddaughter was born with severe lung issues none of which was found in any exams or ultrasounds. She only lived 5 days, was hooked to many many tubes, was intubated her entire 5 days of life and endured 4 surgeries during this time. My daughter has now challenged her faith and God in the process and is angry at the world. She’s lost and confused and doesn’t understand and I don’t know how to help her. Please share your insights on the death of a child. Thank you.

Thank you Reena for being a member of our community.

Sorry to hear about your granddaughter passing.

All souls come in knowing what they are getting into. Many times there is a much higher purpose than the ego would let us realize. Many times those lessons can only be realize through the gift of time. Faith helps dissolve that space between pain and peace.

Your daughter will need to process this loss in her own time and way. The best thing you can do for her is not to judge her healing process. Instead, keep praying for her and ask God to help guide her to a place of peace.

The more we trust in the sacred journey that we have co-designed with God, the more peace we will have along our journey. The less we trust God, the less peace we will experience. This is free will.

Your daughter will remain angry at God and this world until she gets tired of being angry. It is then that she will begin to look for a better way. It is by doing so that her faith in God will once again return and where she will once again experience the state of peace.

There will come a time when we return Home and there we will be able to see how perfectly all of the pieces of our lives puzzle fit together. It is then that we will find perfect peace. Still, we do have free will, we do not need to wait to return Home to find peace now.

This is our function here on this planet, to be a light in the world. There are many places we can serve as a light within the darkness. Our life experience will show us where we can best bring this light in, in order to disperse the darkness. In this case, your daughter will overcome the pain and struggle of this tragedy. Then she will use her life experience to assist those who are going through what she went through, to once again find the light in them, to once again be at peace.

What about severe abuse, neglect and Trauma that one has suffered at the hands of another/others. Or family members who refused to acknowledge or have a relationship with one family member making them feel invisible, unloved, unwanted and unimportant. I promise you that is more than an illusion, that pain is very real!!! What about the death of child, that is very real and not just ego. Sometimes when I read things like this I wonder what one has actually endured in their life, and what truly is forgiveness. Does this mean forget the many ways you are not safe and instead put the trauma aside and walk back in to the very people who were your abusers and say okay, now I am awake, it is all in the past and allow this to happen all over again. I think not. How do you view this, what are your insights.

Thank you Sharon for your comment and questions. The questions you ask are really complex and would take a lot of time to properly answer, but I will try to make a few points now.

Above all else, always do what individually brings you peace, and you will have peace. Your truth is love because your Creator is Love. All you in truth are is love, because your Creator is All.

The pain or fear in a dream can seem very real while in it, I do agree, yet once we awaken, we will find that pain and fear was never truly real. Judgment, and the anger and resentment and even hate can seem very real to those who remain asleep. Yet once you choose to awaken and align with the Love that is your truth, you will forgive because forgiveness being an expression of Love, will bring you the peace you so deserve. When you, in any situation, consciously choose in alignment with Love, with forgiveness and peace, it is then that judgment, anger, resentment and hate, must bow down and dissolve before your light and understanding.Once we awaken, we will no longer judge the monsters in our dreams.

You as Love’s creation, are forever worthy of all of Love’s expressions. Still, you also have free will, and so not even God would stop you if you choose to focus more on judgment than forgiveness and thus pain over His peace. It is always you, who in the end must decide where you will spend your time, focus, energy and life in.

God forever Loves you and God is All, therefore you are loved by the truth in All. Those family members who you think do not love you, they are simply asleep to the truth in them. Let us no longer choose to continue to judge those who sleep. The truth in them does love you because truth can only love.

When someone awakens, they will have no need to walk back into the nightmare. They will not put themselves back in harmful situations because the awaken mind knows that peace, joy and love are his or her inheritance.

When it comes to the death of a child, this is a question I have answered on a few occasions, again its a long answer, but if I find it I will re-post it here.

When I read this and it stirs something that makes me cry, I know I’m on the right track. Thank you for today’s post and the Truth chord that is ringing and vibrating more clearly inside of me now.

Thank you Shelly for being open to the message and for being a member of our community.

May you continue to align with the light with you and by doing so light the way for others.

Peace. JBC

I’m going to have Surgery on my Stomach, it is cosmetic surgery. I have thought’s about my ego. Where would you place that.

Thank you Teresa for being a member of our community.

Whenever the thought of worry tries to enter your mind’s kingdom, stop it, then use that moment to practice increasing your trust in God. The more you practice this, the more peace will surround and embrace you in all situations.

Peace. JBC
