Daily Inspiration: December 19. Turning Condemnation Into Compassion

Today, let us elevate, by making the past targets of our condemnation, the present recipient of our compassion. In this time of Christmas, let us be charitable enough to offer ourselves the opportunities to find peace in areas of our lives that have been asking for healing. Are you not worthy of peace? Are we not all One, all worthy? Would it not then make sense to offer peace to all who we have been withholding peace from, so that we may also experience the state of peace ourselves? God is Love, and forgiveness and compassion are two aspects and refections of Love. Today, when we choose compassion over condemnation, we are choosing to align with the truth in us, the Love that God is, over the ego’s judgment centered programs. You are, as we all are, forever worthy of God’s Love, and it is this memory that you are, through your compassionate thoughts, words and actions, reinforcing today. Would you not be grateful to those, who through their presence in your life, are offering you the opportunities to practice recalling that you are forever worthy of God’s Love? Today, consciously align with God, offer compassion, and experience His peace. What do we truly have to lose by shifting our thinking from a mindset that is based on condemnation, anger and revenge, to one that is based on compassion, forgiveness and peace? Sure the ego may have so deeply programmed us to believe in its mindset that offering compassion and forgiveness to a specific someone, may seem quite unappealing or even impossible to do. But at least ask yourself, are your thoughts of condemnation, anger, and revenge, nourishing or poisoning you? What kind of example are we setting for our children when they see us poisoning ourselves by reacting with condemnation to condemnation, with anger to anger, and with revenge to revenge? Today, let us rise above the ego’s battlefields, and offer all others, what we would want our children to see, feel and experience.

How many more times must we react with anger, condemnation and revenge, in order to see and understand that those types of reactions are offering us nothing we truly want? If they are offering us nothing we want, would not their opposite maybe offer us something we do want? If anger and condemnation offer us nothing we truly want, would forgiveness and compassion not offer us what we want? Being that we are God’s creations, and God is Love, would we as His creations, not want to be in alignment with Love and Love’s expressions? When you find yourself not aligned with Love, do not put yourself or others down for this, simply realize that you are in this state of mind that is  aligned with the ego’s programs and mindset. Now, when you find yourself in aligned with the ego’s mindset, use this as a trigger mechanism, to help move you from the unconscious state to the conscious state. Ask yourself: Does anger and condemnation bring me in alignment with Love, or does forgiveness and compassion do this for me? If forgiveness and compassion align me with Love,  would it not be rational and more productive to offer them, instead of anger and condemnation? Today, no matter how hard the ego demands that we become angry and condemn another, let us remember that what the ego demands, is not going to offer us anything we want. Then, let us then decline its request, and instead choose to offer others the thoughts, words and actions, that will most closely bring us back into alignment with our loving nature. The more we offer forgiveness and compassion, the more natural this way of thinking and being will become. By offering forgiveness and compassion, both expressions of Love, we will be allowing God to flow through us and throughout our day.

Today, let us recall that we are all One, and so what we offer others, we will get to experience ourselves. Let us ask ourselves, do we want condemnation flowing through us and throughout our day, or would compassion seem like a kinder and more nourishing companion? Today, let us with our heads held high, decline the ego’s demands to keep fueling its judgment based mindset. When we practice overruling the ego, we achieve a greater level of control over our thoughts, minds and lives. Today, allow your compassionate response, when the ego demands condemnation, to be a symbol to you are awakening to the understanding, that as Love’s creation, you are indeed worthy of the state of peace. Today, if we are having a difficult time forgiving, let us courageously dive into the deepest parts of our hearts and minds in order to find those remaining pearls of mercy? If we can’t find these pearls within us, then let us invite God to find them for us, to forgive our brothers and sisters for us. Let us do so until we can see, feel and appreciate, the wisdom of His efforts. Today, let us ask and allow Love to lead us, lighting the way back to the state of peace. When we don’t feel strong enough, or ready to forgive, let us not despair, but instead say to our Creator: “Today, I am consciously surrendering to You, that illusionary part of me, that sees any gain in condemnation, anger and revenge. Today, I am making a conscious decision to place my complete trust in Your Mercy, Wisdom and Grace. I now ask You, from the deepest parts of my heart, mind and soul, to forgive my brothers and sisters for me. Please filled my all my thoughts of them, with Your Compassion, Mercy, Peace, Love, Grace and Understanding. Thank you Father. Amen.”

Today, when the ego demands that you condemn yourself or another, let that trigger in you the memory, that today’s goal is to offer compassion to all who you think of or meet. The more you make the conscious decision to offer compassion over condemnation, the more natural this choice will become. The more compassionate you become, the more peace of mind you will experience. Would the appropriate response to someone who is, through their presence in your life, offering you opportunities to practice choosing and thus experiencing peace, not be one of gratitude? Today, when we are being offer the opportunity to practice choosing compassion over condemnation, let us offer our brothers and sisters gratitude, for helping awaken us to who we in truth are. We are God’s, Love’s creations, and compassion and peace being expressions of Love, are our natural states of mind and true Home. Today, our compassionate choices become a symbol to us that we are allowing God to flow through us and throughout our day.
