Daily Inspiration: February 12. Ending the Practice of Self-Judgment

Today, let us no longer judge ourselves for feeling how we feel. Instead, let us just flow with our feelings, acknowledging that there are ‘highs’ and ‘lows’ in everyone’s journey. Today, instead of judging ourselves as weak for our lows, let us offer them our gratitude. We offer them our gratitude for helping us practice the patience and compassion we need, to allow ourselves to feel, whatever it is we think we need to feel to heal, without self-judgment. Why does the ego’s world tell us to judge ourselves as guilty, or not good or strong enough, when we have these so-called lows? Why do we listen to the ego, when its advice only hurts us? Let us begin to recognize that the path we are on, and every step along it, has been designed by God to help us grow, heal and awaken. God is perfect, only creates perfectly, thus every step along our path must be perfect for us. When we begin to align with this understanding, how could we in truth have any so-called “low points” along our path? If there are no such things as low points, then when we think we experience them, it is simply a symbol of when we are out of alignment with, or not recognizing, our Creator’s Will for us. In truth, you are never presented with low points on your path. But there are moments when you forget your sacred connection to God and do not recognize this truth as true. Do not despair, for if it is you who has, through your misperception of the present moment, disconnected yourself from your sacred path, then it is also you who has the power to reconnect. You will know when you have once again re-connected with God’s Will, because you will have and feel a greater sense of peace of mind, purpose, clarity and joy.

Why do we trust the ego when it demands that we judge ourselves for feeling frustrated, angry, fearful, anxious, sad or depressed? How can we possibly heal what we don’t allow ourselves to feel? Feeling your feelings is the first step to healing them. A successful journey cannot take place if you are unwilling to take the first step. That first step is actually a gift that you have the courage to offer yourself, and not something to be judged as bad or wrong. When we heal our minds, it is then that we can look at the world through a healed mind, and so healing of our minds is the second step in true healing. By choosing to feel your feelings, you open yourself to healing, which then opens the door to the third step, which is to use your life experience to help heal the world. For it is only what is within you, the tools you have, that you can offer to others and to this world. What else but courageous would you call someone who’s willing to feel their feelings, in order to help heal themselves and this world? Today, let us no longer judge ourselves just because we’re feeling feelings that may not seem pleasant. Every step along your path you have co-created with God, and thus there is no need to judge and condemn yourself. Each step along our path is here to help us heal, grow and awaken. Once you are healed and awake, you will be able to use your life experience, all the so-called ‘good’ and ‘bad’ parts of it, the ‘highs’ and ‘lows,’ to help those you meet along your path, grow, heal and awaken. As you do so, you will be better able to conceptualize why you went through what you went through. Peace results when you realize why you went through what you went through. Let us be grateful to everyone, who by helping them, are helping us heal ourselves. You are not placed in front of anyone by chance. They are all a sacred part of your path. Be grateful and respectful of them, and with humility, compassion, patience, peace and understanding, share the lessons you have learned along the way.

Today, let us stop listening to the ego’s demands for self-judgments. Let us instead take such situations to acknowledge the strength and courage that it takes to feel our feelings. Let us be at peace knowing, that there will come a day when we will heal, and by doing so, see how most of our low points were actually birthing some of our greatest highs. Judging yourself because we are all One, is judging God. Anytime you are consciously judging yourself, you are unconsciously judging God. Is it any wonder why judging yourself does not feel good or right. Equally so, judging all others, is judging yourself, is judging God. Why continue to do what only hurts and punishes you? Judgment, hurt and punishment, are not expressions of Love, and Love is who God Is. God is Love and All, and thus who we in truth are. Being that we are love, judgment, hurt, and punishment are not in alignment with the truth in us. Always feel free to feel your feelings, but practice doing so each time with less judgment, hurt and punishment, and more compassion, love and understanding. Remember, you are always doing the best you can with the coping tools you have. If you know you are always doing the best you can with the tools you have, then know you are worthy of compassion, love and understanding. Compassion, love and understanding, are symbols that you are in alignment with God’s will. Judgment, hurt, punishment and pain, are symbols that we are out of alignment with God’s will. Having recalled this, let us today drop our self judgments, and take this opportunity to once again align with God’s will and find peace. Today, let us instead of judging ourselves, trust ourselves, and that there is Someone much wiser than us, who is helping guide us along the way. 

Today, when falling into the ego’s dark pit of self-judgment: First, make the conscious decision that you will no longer judge yourself for being human. Second, realize that because your journey is a sacred co-creation with God, it will all be used for good, to help you grow, heal and awaken. Third, understand that if all our experiences are used for good, then they were never really bad in the first place nor in need of self-judgment. Fourth, recall that our experiences become the tools that we use to heal, and then through our healing, help others heal. Fifth, feel free to feel your feelings, but do so with compassion, love and understanding, and not with judgment, punishment and pain. Sixth, remember that in every moment you are at your highest peak of development and thus making the best decisions possible with the tools that you have available to you.
