Today, when the ego’s programs want us to criticize ourselves or others, let us instead become grateful and recall what wonderful growth opportunities such moments offer us. Imagine being given the opportunities to practice releasing yourself from no longer having to carry the heavy burdens of your own judgments. Imagine no longer having to spend your time supporting thoughts, words, emotions and actions that you now know don’t support you. Imagine, thanks to these opportunities, becoming self-aware enough to be able to spend more of your time choosing and experiencing the states of peace and joy. Then thanks to this greater self awareness, becoming a greater example of what is also possible for those who still find themselves stuck in the ego’s mindset. Understanding this, what else but gratitude could you feel for such opportunities? What else but gratitude could others express to you for showing them a way out of the misery and chaos of the ego’s ways? As our self awareness increases, it becomes easier to see and recognize when we are stuck in the ego’s program. The ego’s program tries to place itself in opposition to God, to Love. Anytime you are experiencing or expressing something that seems to be in opposition to Love, then know that you are buying into your programmed self as true. Your true self will always be a reflection of the Love that is your Source and Creator. Your Source is Love and All, thus love is all that the truth in you could ever be. There can in truth never be an opposition to God, Love, All, therefore in truth you could never be anything other than the Love that you were created to be. Anytime you are experiencing anything other than Love and its expressions, you are simply experiencing the false as true. It is when you buy into the ego’s false concepts as true, that you become confused, judgmental and lose your peace of mind.
Our programmed self criticizes and judges others and ourselves, not because we are less spiritual or bad people, but simply because it has become a bad habit. We have bought into a false behavior, repeated over time, and now think of and see it as a natural way of being. Equally so, when we react with anger, resentment and hate, it is again not because we are selfish or evil. It is because we have been programmed to believe the ego’s lies about us are true. Our programmed self makes us feel anxious, worried and stress out. This occurs, not because we are not peaceful beings, but because it has convinced us that we can not fully trust in God’s plan for us. The ego wants us trusting in it, not God. This gives the ego control and power over us. Our programmed self is not vicious by nature, it is simply forgetful. Our programmed self simply desires to exist, and its main weapon to keep itself alive within us, is to try to make us forget who in truth we are. Today, no longer waste your time judging yourself or others simply because you have forgotten your true loving nature. Instead, use such opportunities to help you better understand what the ego’s con games look and feel like. The more aware we become of the ego’s con games, the quicker we can stop them when they are trying to convince us that its lies are true. The less time we spend in servitude to the ego, the less power our programmed self will have over us. As the power of the programmed self diminishes, cracks will begin to appear in its mindset. It is through these cracks that our light, our truth, can begin to once again seep through. The more light seeps through, the greater our understanding and self-awareness. The more self-aware we become, the more we connect to our true Source, the less need we will have for our programmed self and any of the ego’s con games.
Today, let us use the opportunities that our programmed self offers us, not to judge ourselves or others, but to practice consciously recognizing it and stopping it. The sooner we recognize it, the sooner we stop its hurtful, painful and unloving habits and patterns that no longer serve us. The less time we spend serving our programmed self, the more time we will spend serving our own growth, healing and awakening process. Today, when the con games of the programmed self pop up, such as those of doubt, anxiousness or worry, let us choose to no longer sacrifice our time and energy to them. Instead, let us with compassion, trust in God, and with gratitude, simply and gently see our beliefs in these con games as bad habits that simply need to be corrected. Today, let us not curse ourselves, nor get upset by our bad habits. Understanding what is happening, let us simply smile at the ego’s deceptive efforts, gently and lovingly correct our misperceptions, and continue on our sacred path. Today, if a bad habit pops up, let us say to ourselves: “I no longer support the ego’s programming and lies as my real-self. My real-self is not confusion, but clarity. My real-self is not judgment but forgiveness. My real-self does not desire to become an example of pain but of peace. Today, I thank every single moment that offers me the opportunity to practice recalling my true nature. Today, I release all illusions that I hold of myself and others, and that hold me a captive within the ego’s mindset. Today, I set myself free from a mindset that I now know no longer serves me. Today, I start becoming and offering all others the love that in truth I am. Today, I acknowledge all of us as God’s children, all forever worthy of His Love, of who in truth I am.”
Today, let us practice becoming more consciously aware of the difference between our program-self and our true-self. Our program or ego self is the opposite of our true-self. Our true-self is the Love that God created us to be. It is who we have in truth always been, are now, and will always be. Our programmed self is the false-self, illusionary in nature because it tries to stand in opposition to The Truth, to Love who is God and All. Our programmed self being in seeming opposition to All, is nothing, not real, not true. It only appears real when we are buying into the ego’s fairy tale as true. The ego’s fairy tale supports anything that seems to be in opposition to our loving nature. Today, let us no longer support and thus reinforce the false in us as true. We do so by only supporting, with our time, focus and energy, our loving essence and nature, our truth as true.
