Daily Inspiration: May 22. The Choice Between Sanity and Insanity

Imagine having the choice between sanity and insanity, and still choosing insanity. Only in an insane world could the choice for insanity be taught to us as the sane choice. Every moment offers us the opportunity to choose between insanity and sanity, between the ego’s “solutions” of worry, stress and anxiety or trusting in our Divine plan. When a moment is fully placed in the Divine’s hands, worry, stress and anxiety dissolve. When we trust in our Divine plan completely, we have complete peace. When we trust in our Divine plan partially, we have partial peace. Free will always allows for the final choice to be ours to make. But know this: as God’s creations, we are forever worthy of the state of peace. Today, let us choose sanity over insanity and experience the peace that, as God’s creations, we all deserve.

Is there not a level of insanity in the acts of worrying, stressing out and anxiousness? Have we not all experienced these energies and emotions enough times to understand that they offer us nothing we want? If placing your time, energy and focus, on worrying, stressing out and feeling anxious, only increase your levels of tension, emotional distress and uncertainty, then what good do they serve? What problems does supporting such an insane mindset solve? Why should we continue to support this insane way of thinking as some type of solution to our confusion? Let us no longer support a mindset that does not bring peace to our minds and comfort to our souls. Let us stop supporting a mindset that only increase our levels of uncertainty, fear and pain. Let us stop punishing ourselves through our own thinking. It is now time to end our insanity, suffering and pain.

How many times in our lives must we travel the same dead-end ego roads in order to figure out that they are not getting us to where we want to go? How much time, energy and focus, must we continue to sacrifice to worry, stress and anxiety, before we get that we deserve and are worthy of something better? How many people, places and things, must we curse for “making us” feel worried, stressed and anxious, before we take a step back and ask ourselves, who is really the one who is supporting this way of thinking? Today, let us look deep into the mirror and see that these battles, because of our belief in the ego’s mindset, begin within us. No one other than you is responsible for the thoughts you think. Today, let us stop supporting the thoughts that are not supporting us. The ego’s insane mindset is no longer ours. Today, let us stop making the insane choice. Let us now see and learn to recognize the insane choice as simply insane. Let us now stop judging others and ourselves for this insanity, and instead thank them for being part of a process that is helping us finally see the insane as insane. Today, let us no longer allow the thoughts of worry, stress and anxiety, to keep punishing us. Instead, let us use our insane thinking, as a signal that is directing us to stop doing what we are doing. By doing so, our insane thinking can now also become, in its own way, a path to peace. Yes, let us use the insane, as an invitation from the Universe, to trust God more. Let us use the insane, to help awaken us to the understanding that there indeed is a better and more compassionate way, of treating ourselves and those around us. Let us also use those times that we are sane, at peace, as symbols that help us see that we are in alignment with the Mind and Will of God. 

Today, let us practice increasing our level of sanity, our trust in God. Today, when the ego once again tries to sell you the insane as sane, stop and say to yourself: “Father/Mother, I now fully and wholeheartedly release this moment over to You. I now know that my highest will and Your Will, are One. I now fully, and without hesitation or reservation, release the insane thinking that the ego would burden me with, and instead choose Your sanity. I now make the conscious choice to value my trust in You, more than my ego’s addiction to worry. I now value Your Peace, more than my ego’s desire for stress and anxiety. Today, when the clouds of worry begin to roll through my mind, I now see and understand them as a call from the Universe, asking me to trust God more. Today, when the stresses of this world seem to want to consume me, I now with both hands held up high, in Your name, demand them to stop. Now, clear of mind, I offer all my stresses to you, and watch and feel them all slowly dissolve within Your perfect Light, Love and Understanding. Today, when anxiety seems to want to drown me in its fear based energies, I now see it as an opportunity to once again reach for Your Hand. In doing so I acknowledge Your presence in my life, and allow you to lift me up and out of the oceans of fear that my own confused mind has me drowning in. Today, at One with You, fear dare not challenge Your Love for me, and Protection of me. I now, through free will, shift from insane to sane thinking, from the ego to God. I trust You fully with my life, and with the lives of all those around me. I find peace and safety by acknowledging that we are all One with You, all forever Loved and cared for by You. Today, through free will, I allow Your Will in my life to be done. Thank you God. Amen.”

Today, when the ego once again tries to sell us its insane judgment-centered mindset as sane, let us choose to no longer play its silly little fear based games. Instead, let us quietly but confidently recognize what is truly happening, that the Universe is offering us an opportunity to practice trusting God more. Today, let us recognize the insane, the delusional thinking that brings us worry, stress and anxiety, as a simple call to action. It is a call to let go of the ego’s mindset and instead align with the Mind of God. The more we trust God and align our minds with His, the less we worried, stressed out or anxious, we will be. If we place our full trust in God, in the choice for sanity in any situation, then worry, stress and anxiety, no longer become a part of our experience. Today, let us be grateful that thanks to free will, the choice between sanity and insanity, in every moment, is ours to make.

Good. Keep going, move little by little, through every thought you think, word you use, and action that you take, towards the light within, toward the love that you are. By doing so, your light will shine brighter and brighter each day. Now, thanks to your effort and thus your brighter light, those who are lost where you once where lost, may see your light and be guided by it.

I struggle with allowing stress, anxiety, depression, worry, self-doubt, self-loathing, self-pity (INSANITY) to take me over at certain times. That’s happening now and has been going on for several days. I know it’s insanity. I know it’s within myself to choose something different, to let it go, to transform the negativity back into loving kindness and compassion. But when I feel this being taken over and under, I can’t seem to find my way out of the darkeness. Even when I know the way out is through and it’s my choice, I can’t consciously make that choice. Everything is just darkness. I don’t feel worthy or confident at that time to surrender to God. Everything just seems hopeless.

Thank you Reena for your comment and for being a member of our community. Try this every day for the next week:

1) Go on a fruit fast, only eat fruit all day and maybe a salad at night (no cooked foods) (no processed dressings).

2) Go for a walk, a run, or a walk/run every day, should be an hour long.

3) Don’t watch the news, don’t watch anything negative, nor anything scary, just positive, loving things.

4) Every single time a negative thought pops in, tell it that it is a lie, and that you are not going to support it anymore with your time, focus and energy.

5) Forgive yourself for having that thought, and forgive anyone else who was a part of that thought.

6) Send a blessing, love, light and healing energy to yourself and anyone else involved with that thought. Make sure not to just send it, but visualize and Feel yourself sending this love and light.

7) Ask God to please bless you with His light and Love, feel yourself as if you where under a waterfall, close your eyes, feel the force of this waterfall on your body, then shift that force from being water to light, then to love – allow it to flow through you, feel yourself being filled and embraced by it.

8) After a few minutes under the waterfall, once filled, send your gratitude to God, feel wave after wave of your love and light moving from within you into God, into The Light.

9) Then allow Him to do the same for you, feel yourself overflowing with His gratitude for you.

10) Do this exercise as many times as you can throughout the day whenever a negative or ego thought tries to take away your peace of mind.

Insanity is any thought or behavior separate from God which is to be separate from love…returning to love is the only way to heal.
