How many times in our lives have we woken up with the distinct goal of dedicating our day to gratitude? Does this not sound like a useful and healing opportunity? In this time of Thanksgiving, let us dedicate this day to gratitude. Let us make, in every moment that we recall today’s goal, the conscious decision, to make gratitude our constant companion. Let us become a conscious physical representative of the energetic expression of gratitude. Imagine, how our mindset, and thus day, would begin to shift into a more joyous and peaceful state, if we began to make gratitude our conscious constant companion. What if instead of judging a situation, ourselves, or others, and asking “why” or “why me” as the ego has programmed us to do, we instead trusted in the sacred nature of the journey that we have co-created with God, and taught ourselves to simply reply to the moment, by saying “Thank you”. What if “Thank you” now became our go to response to every moment, person, and interaction, that was presented to us? Let’s do this, truly what do we have to lose by taking control of our own thoughts and aligning them with the Mind of God. Gratitude is an expression of Love who is God, thus anytime we are being grateful, we are aligning with the Mind of God, with our natural state of mind. Today, before every interaction, let us remind ourselves, that above all else, gratitude is our goal. Today, when the ego insist on using of judgment, worry and stress, we consciously and gently set them all aside, remember our goal for the day, trust in the sacred plan that we have co-created with God, and offer only our gratitude to that moment and to all those involved in that moment. God being Love, only has His creations best interest in mind, and thus let us understand, that every moment in our experience, is here to help us reach a deeper level of self-awareness, and a higher level of consciousness.
If we made it a conscious and concerted effort to represent gratitude, what kinds of days would this shift in consciousness and attitude begin to reflect and create? What kind of example would we begin to set for our children? What kind of hope would we begin to bring to those still lost within the ego’s judgment centered mindset? Even and especially when we seem to be going through dark and difficult times, would this effort to shift our mindset in the direction of gratitude, not help us begin to walk once again in the direction of the light? Have we not obtained some of our greatest wisdom from so-called difficult and trying times? Have we not walk through and out of the ego’s dark tunnels enough times to realize that there is indeed a light at the end of each tunnel? Have all these experiences where we constantly questioned ourselves, others and God, not brought us to a more mature, healthy, peaceful, and joyful place in our life? Have we not sulked in our own tears enough to realize that the sun keeps on shining, that tomorrow is always another day, and that the more we place our trust in God, the more peace we seem to experience? Are we not, thanks to our “whole” life experience, that life experience that the ego has had us spend so much self-judgment on, not helped us become greater and wiser teachers to those who are still lost, confused, and buying into the ego’s lies as true? Are we not beginning to see some sort of pattern here, where we learn from our so-called errors, and by doing so, grow and become more complete, loving and compassionate human beings? Realizing all this, is it not maybe time to start dropping the ego insistence on asking “why” or “why me” and start saying “Thank you”.
Today, let us consciously increase our time spent in the state of gratitude, and by doing so, reduce the time spent questioning and judging ourselves and our experience. Today, let us simply trust and say “thank you” for the opportunity to practice seeing everyone, everything and all, with gratitude, through Love’s eyes. What a gift are we about to offer ourselves, by making the conscious decision to value our trust in our Creator and the plan He has co-created with us, instead of the ego’s petty little fear based mindset. The ego’s fear based mindset only burdens us with doubt, anxiousness, uncertainty, anger, resentment and regret. Are we, as God’s creations, not worthy of more than the ego’s delusions? Of course we are, we are all God’s children, all forever worthy of His Love-filled inheritance. Gratitude, as an expression of Love, is just one of the many treasures of God’s inheritance. Today, by choosing to represent gratitude, let us accept and begin to enjoy our inheritance. Imagine, what a gift, this attitude of gratitude, could become to our future generations. Let us model this behavior, and become living physical examples of the gift and possibility of gratitude in everyday life. Imagine our children, learning through our behavior, to be grateful for not only the “good things and times” but also for the so-called “bad things and times”. All we need do, is teach them the truth, that God being Love, always uses all for the greater good, all to help us heal, grow and awaken. Let us also understand, that today we are not being ask to become gratitude and joy robots, that it is always ok to feel whatever it is we think we need to feel. But also, let us know that we are not reading this message by chance, that we have volunteered to awaken to our true nature, and being Love’s representative of gratitude, is who in truth we are, and have come down here to be and share.
Today, we seem to be asked to try out a very small shift in our attitude and mindset. Yet, if you truly get the gift that you are being offered, it could forever change your life. You control your thoughts, but unknowingly, many times, you are not really in control. Judgment, through the ego, tries to place itself in opposition to Love who is God and All. But there can in truth, not be an opposition to All, thus judgment of self and other is a symbol that the ego’s delusional mindset is in control of your thinking. Let us today no longer buy into lies as true, and take back control of our own minds. Gratitude, as an expression of Love, is an aspect of who in truth we are. Thus, consciously making the decision to express gratitude, now becomes a symbol to us, that we are back in control of our own thinking, and therefore of our minds and lives.
