Daily Inspiration: October 25. “Negative” Emotions Do Not Make Us Less Spiritual

The only emotions we can truly heal are those we allow ourself to feel. Today, let us give ourself permission to feel “negative” emotions without being made to feel wrong, bad or less than for doing so. Let us do this, not with the intent to hurt others, but to heal ourself. When we become an example that those who hurt can heal, we light a path of hope for those who are finding it too dark to see. By doing so, we help them find their way back Home to the state of peace. We are here together to work through the emotions that are currently blocking our awareness to the state of peace. Let us use these negative emotions, not to judge, but to help clarify the beliefs that are blocking our awareness and connection to our loving nature.  As we bring our emotions to the surface, this uncovering will help us understand them and heal ourselves. This process of healing helps us figure out that these negative emotions do not result from what others do, but from how we interpret what they do. The more we believe this false interpretation as true the more real we make it and the bigger part of our lives it becomes. We are thus in essence robbing our own peace of mind. Today, when we are not at peace, let us no  longer blame others for this. Instead let us simply realize that we are misinterpreting the present moment. The present moment is God’s eternal gift to us. When we recall this peace results. God is Love and All and thus only has our best interest in mind. Every moment when properly perceived is here for our good, to help us grow, heal and awaken. Others are in our lives to facilitate this process. Through their participation in our experience they bring up in us the delusions we still believe as real and true. This way they can be looked at, processed and healed.

Today, let us note that it is our whole life experience, even the so-called negative emotions, that are helping us become better teachers of forgiveness and peace.  It is by living through and overcoming our hurdles that we will be better able to teach others how to overcome their own darkness. Today, let us remember that only because the ego’s world defines something as a ‘bad’ or ‘negative’ does not make it less of a lesson. Good, bad, right, wrong all these emotions provide different perspectives, learning opportunities, lessons learned and wisdom. They all affect different people in different ways. When we trust that God being Love and All can use all to teach us, peace results. Today, let us trust God and no longer use so-called negative emotions to separate us from each other. If separation is your end result know that somewhere you have bought into the chaos of the ego’s judgment filled mindset. If peace and unity result know that you have aligned with the Mind of God. Today, learn to see every moment and emotion as a perfect part of the sacred journey you have co-created with God. Seeing your life in this manner is a sign of one who is in the process of awakening. Negative emotions seem negative, not because they are in truth negative but because the ego has programmed us to define them as such. Today recall that every single one of your emotions, even the so-called negative ones are in the end of use. They are used to help release us from the ego’s programming and mindset. It is by doing so that they help us return to being at One with and appreciative of everyone and all.

Today, let us practice releasing our attachments to the false concepts that if we feel, experience, or ‘act’ on our negative emotions that this somehow makes us bad or less spiritual. Let us recall our path as sacred and a blessing not only to us but also to those around us. Your path is no more sacred than theirs and their paths are no more sacred than yours. Each path is a perfect individualized co-creation with God. The sooner we realize this the sooner we will begin to let go of false concepts that keep us attached to the ego’s mindset and view of the world. When we   recognize the sacred nature of each one of our journeys what use will we have to judge ourselves as less than others or others as less than us? What use will we have for any sort of judgment, negative emotion or thinking? Today, let us practice offering gratitude for every single one of our emotions and experiences. Let us do so with the understanding that each one is helping us become a more complete, compassionate and healed expression of our Creator. God uses all for good and thus as His creations let us practice doing the same. Today, be patient with yourself and others knowing that all experiences are here for the betterment of mankind. Today, recall that every part of you, even those the ego deems not good, bad, negative or unworthy are a perfect part of you and of your journey. You are here on this planet to express everything about you and not to hide in the ego’s shadows in fear of judgment. You are God’s sacred creation, all of you, His creations, is His gifts to this planet. Not just parts of you, all of you. All of you is once the ego’s delusions are dismiss, sacred and good.

Today, if dealing with negative emotions: First, stop putting any more time and energy into this thinking pattern. Second, remind yourself that you have co-created your journey with God. Each step of it is sacred and will be used for good. Third, forgive your judgments and misperceptions of self and others. Fourth, remind yourself that God is perfect, only creates perfectly, and you are His creation. Fifth, trust that because God is Love and All, all of your experiences and emotions will be used to help you grow, heal and awaken. Sixth, recall that all is used for good. Thus what need do you have for judgment or negative emotions? Seventh, recall that each and every one of our journeys has a sacred purpose. Remember that because of this, the world is better off because you and everyone else are here.

One of my great inspirations is Abraham Lincoln. He was weighed down by depression and despair. His melancholy forged a strength of soul from looking at troubling reality straight in the eye. His hard work over a rough road fueled his greatness developing crucial skills and capacities which enabled him to lead a country through a dark night. It inspires continually like Robert Frost wrote poetically: The tree the tempest with a crash of wood Throws down in front of us is not to bar Our passage to our journey’s end for good But just to ask us who we think we are.

Thank you Jen for your lovely insightful comment and for being a member of our community.
