Daily Inspiration: September 28. The Gift Within The Illusion

The value and gift of any illusion (anything that seems to be in opposition to God’s Love, to All) is to experience it long enough to realize that it is not in alignment with our loving nature. When we learn to see and recognize the illusionary nature of the ego’s world, its power over us diminishes. The more we experience the ego’s illusions, the less return we will get for our investment. The more we recognize the ego’s “truths” as lies, the less we will rely on its mindset and tools. Any spiritual teacher or guru can tell us that to find peace, we need to forgive in order to release and let go of our anger and resentment. Yet, it was only because we held onto anger and resentment long enough that we can now truly appreciate and understand their full weight. It is because of our life experience that we can now recognize their energy drain, the worthless nature that such energies and emotions bring to our life. It is thanks to our life experience that we can now recognize the wisdom of the teacher’s teachings. Herein resides illusion’s gift to us. We get to experience them long enough to finally recognize that we do not want them or anything they offer. Now, we see each illusion, error, mistake, ‘sin,’ as simply a step on a sacred ladder. Now, we see how each step helps us get closer to popping out of the ego’s fairy tale. Many times, it is only by repeating our so-called errors over and over again that we start to notice how little they have to offer us. It is exactly this dissolution with the illusion that helps us begin to let go of it. Imagine, no longer putting ourselves or others down for experiencing what the ego’s world calls errors, mistakes or sins. Imagine, choosing to see them all as perfect steps on a ladder out of the ego’s delusional mindset. Today, let us recall that the journey we are on we have co-created with God, and that because God is perfect this journey must be perfect for us and for this world.

How much of our life have we already sacrificed to the ego’s false idol of judgment? How much of our life have we sacrifice to judging our past, judging ourselves and others as bad, not good or loving enough, not spiritual or wise enough, not worthy enough? What if we could now use our life experience and personal example not to continue to judge self and others but to save them days, weeks, or even years of judgment, suffering, pain, guilt, shame and regret? This is what we can begin to do by choosing to trust God, recall that He uses all for good, and that the Divine only has our best interest in mind. Let us begin to do this by simply looking at our past, and seeing our so-called bad days, difficult relationships, errors and mistakes, in a more gentle light. In this more gentle light we see how they turned out to bring us some of our most helpful life lessons, knowledge and wisdom. In this more gentle light we see the so-called bad, sad, hurtful, and emotionally painful, as only helping us become wiser, more knowledgable and compassionate beings. Now, understanding their true function, where those “bad” experiences ever really bad in the first place? Today, let us see and understand how anyone of our so-called mistakes or bad things can turn into wisdom and a blessing. Understanding this let us now appreciate how we can turn all judgment-centered false concepts into gifts of growth from God to us. Imagine, being able to retrain your mind to see all so-called difficult and tiring times as blessings. Imagine, seeing them as opportunities that were being offered to us to help us become more compassionate, knowledgeable and awaken beings. Imagine, recalling the gift that each moment truly is. Now we can use this clarity and understanding to help lift others out of the darkness and back into alignment with the Light in them.

Today, let us no longer waste our time judging our past. Instead, let us realize that it was only because we held unto our illusions, and got to fully experience them over and over again, that we can now see and understand them for what they are. For this let us thank them for their service to us. Now, let us thank, not judge our past or those from it. Now, we know they simply helped us better see and understand what is true and not true about us as God’s loving creations. Now, thanks to our understanding we can find peace in areas of our lives where we once thought that to be an impossibility. Today, thanks to our past we can serve as a reminder to others of what is and what is not true about them. Now, thanks to our life experience and greater self-awareness we can offer gratitude to all those we were once programmed to condemn. Now, we can look back and understand that all those in our past were simply helping us become more self-aware and aligned with our true loving essence and nature. Is gratitude not the appropriate response to those who have helped us? It is thanks to their participation in our life that we are able to close the book on the ego’s fairy and reach a higher level of self-awareness. Today, let us choose to look at our past and those in it with appreciation, compassion, peace and understanding. Let this new sight symbolize to us that we are now seeing our past as it was created by God for us to benefit from. Today, let us trust God and recognize that because we have co-created our journey with Perfection that every step along our path is perfect for us. Now, we recognize that even and especially those we once condemned were all gifts from the Divine to us.

Today, let look at our past with gratitude instead of judgment. Let us acknowledge the wisdom, knowledge and life experience we accumulated thanks to it. With this understanding at hand let us forgive and offer our gratitude for the part all has played in our awakening. We would not be who we are today without our past. Every step on the ladder of life has helped us reach a higher state of mind. Today, let us forgive ourselves and others for everything we thought we did wrong and judged ourselves guilty of. Have we not learned from our experiences? Is that not why we are here – to grow, learn and awaken to who in truth we are? Are we not here to teach others what we have learned? When we teach others what we have learned we will start to understand its and our sacred purpose.
