Daily Inspiration: September 8. The Ego’s “Solutions” to Bitterness and Anger
Blame, bitterness and anger are the ego’s solutions to bitterness and anger. The ego’s solutions only sound and seem sane to an insane world. If you think of another and bitter and angry thoughts come to mind, because we are all One, these thoughts you are having of “others,” are still flowing through you, thus hurting and punishing you. It is only when you consciously start valuing peace of mind and joy more than this self-inflicted pain, poison and punishment, that you will do the opposite of what the ego’s world is demanding of you. If you want the opposite of the feelings of pain, poison and punishment, that the ego’s offers you, then simply start doing the opposite of what the ego is requiring. Offer to others, when they come to mind, forgiveness and a blessing, pray for their healing, joy, peace of mind and awakening. Offer them everything that you would like to experience flowing through you and throughout your day. Offer others exactly what you want, nothing more is ever asked of you to have everything you truly desire. Let us today, make the conscious choice, to no longer travel down a road that we know will not get us to our desired destination. All of the ego’s tools such as those of bitterness and anger, offer you nothing that you in truth want. They offer you nothing, because the ego, being in opposition to All, is in and of itself, nothing. Nothing, can not offer you what you want. Nothing, can only ever offer you what it is. Your Source is All, not nothing, and so today let us practice seeing the ego’s deceptions and delusions for what they are, nothing, and realize that nothing will never get us closer to what we want. How much of your life have you already sacrifice trying to make nothing into something? How much longer are you willing to travel the ego’s dead end roads?
How much longer will you need to follow the ego’s directions, to figure out that its dead-end roads, lead you nowhere you desire to go? How much longer will you, when you think of another, keep on punishing and poisoning yourself with bitter and angry thoughts? When will you finally get, that thinking negatively of another, because we are all One, is in reality only punishing and poisoning you? When you think negatively of yourself or others, your brain produces a stress hormones called cortisol that flows through your body and damages your cells. Cortisol produces inflammation in the body and compromises your immune system. But do not despair; because it is you, not the ego, who has ultimate control over the thoughts your think. Thus, the power to change your thoughts and heal yourself resides within you right now. When you make the conscious choice to be and have forgiving, compassionate, kind, loving, peaceful and joyful thoughts, you release chemicals in your brain like serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin. All these are hormones that help calm, relax and reinvigorate your body, and help you heal. Only you can control your thoughts, only you can control the chemicals that your brain produces and that flow through your body. Thus, in the end, it is only you who can heal or destroy yourself. If you are reading this now, it’s because you have tired of destroying yourself through your own thoughts. It is now time to try a different route, a way that will once agin put you in alignment with your loving nature. Today, take each interaction that you have with thoughts of bitterness and anger, to practice taking back control of your own mind. Do not put yourself down for such thoughts, instead now used them to help you recall that they offer you nothing you want. Then offer their opposites in order to begin to move you in the direction of your desired destination.
Today, when thoughts of bitterness and anger of self and others are demanded as solutions by the ego’s programming, instead of falling down the ego’s dark rabbit hole once again, consciously stop that line of thinking, sit for a moment, close your eyes, quiet the mind, remember where the ego’s instructions have taken you before, and let these words be birth from your soul: “Staring today, right now, I no longer support bitterness and anger, as solutions to my confusion. I no longer choose to support, carry within, maintain and sustain, such energies. Father, today, right now, I hand over, release this bitterness and anger to You, and watch them dissolved before Your love, mercy and grace. Father, today I will practice releasing and letting go all of my bitterness and anger to You, over and over and over again, until I start to feel and truly understand Your wisdom. Now, in place of my bitterness and anger that I have released to you, I ask you to please help refill me, by offering my bothers and sisters, Your blessings, Your peace of mind and joy, Your forgiveness, compassion and understanding. In doing so, what I give to them, I now get to experience myself. Now, those vacant areas within me are where bitterness and anger once lived, are filled with Your love, peace, mercy and understanding. I thank you Father for Your guidance, for helping me recall my true nature and home. Today, Father, please join me as I thank all my brothers and sisters, for helping me practice releasing myself from the pain and suffering that I was putting myself through. Father, thanks to Your guidance I am now free, free to be, exactly who You created me to be. Amen.”
Today, when thoughts of bitterness and anger enter our minds, let us use the gift of our life experience to recall where such thoughts have taken us before, no where that in truth we desire to be. Understanding this, let us end our support for them. We end our support for them by stopping the time, focus and energy, that we keep investing in their survival. The moment that we make the conscious choice to stop supporting them, is the moment that they will begin to dissolve from our lives. Then let of use this opening, to start putting our time, focus and energy, to investing in thoughts that will bring us the peace of mind and joy we want. Compassion and forgiveness are two thoughts that we can replace bitterness and anger with. Let us then now, when we think of self or others, and bitter and angry thoughts come to mind, replace them with compassionate and forgiving thoughts. Then, let us recall that we are all One, and only wish for others, what we ourselves would want to experience.
