When a painful memory intrudes into your days and nights, what you are being offered is the opportunity to experience healing and peace through forgiveness. Forgiveness is not about others deserving or not deserving something. Forgiveness is about you deserving and being worthy of peace. That is why you forgive. That is why forgiveness is for you. When you choose to forgive instead of judge yourself or another, you free yourself from having to carry judgment’s heavy burdens. When you continue to hurt, it is because you are choosing judgment over forgiveness. If, for whatever reason, you can’t yet forgive yourself or another, then invite God to forgive for you. Do so and begin to understand what the possibility of true freedom feels like. This inspiring video can be enjoyed all year long.
