Daily Inspiration: April 11. The Battlefield Within our Mind
Imagine, being a soldier trying to clear a “hostile” section of a block; you go house-to-house, room-by-room, with your gun in hand, tensed up, and ready to shoot back at any perceived attack. With every person, noise, or situation that’s out of the norm, your training kicks in, adrenalin flows, defenses heighten and your attack begins. Even when we take this intensity down quite a number of notches, is this not the way a great many people on this planet are living their lives? Do people not immediately judge and put up defenses against anything and anyone that does not fit into their mold of thinking or being. Is this not an exhausting and insane way to live your life? Going into every room, every situation, with judgments in hand, ready to fire at anyone and anything that does not fit into the ego’s programmed idea of what life should look like, or how people should act, react, and interact. Yes, this is how the ego has trained and programmed us to react to each other, and it has done so because, as we have mentioned on numerous occasions, it is judgment that feeds and fuels the ego, and so it needs us judging ourselves and others, so that it may continue to exist. But thankfully, we do have free will, and so having traveled the same judgment filled dead-end road over and over again, and experiencing it pain filled results over and over again, there will come a time when we will get sick and tired of the ego’s results, and it is then that we will begin to look for a better way of co-existing with each other. When we get to that sacred doorway of that better way, we will look back and see that every single step of our journey was what got us there. When we recognize the perfect and sacred nature of our journey, we will not look back with judgment at our journey nor at those who were a part of it. Instead, we will look upon them with gratitude, because we will get, that it was our interactions with them, that has finally got us to shift our perceptions, and thus come upon, this sacred doorway.
The battlefields on this planet are filled with those who value judgment more than forgiveness, condemnation more than compassion, being right more than being happy, and conflict more than peace. Thus, for those who have fought in this world’s battlefields, and are tired of the fight, they must realize that the true battle is first fought within their own minds, and not out there in the physical world. This, when you realize it, is good news, for if the battle begins within your mind, than it is you who has the power to stop it and choose a better way. If you realize that the power to change resides within you, then the outer world and other’s opinions of you, will begin to lose their power over you. Yes, the start every battle we experience is not “out there,” it is within our mind, for it is only within our minds, that we can define this world. Within the ego’s fairy tale there is not one reality, as you have been programmed to think, there are seven plus billion ways that we now view, think of and interact with this world. There are seven plus billion levels of righteousness, war, conflict, confusion and chaos, trying to co-exist. Is it any wonder why, within the ego’s illusionary mindset, righteousness, war, conflict, confusion and chaos, seem to reign supreme? There will come a day when you will tire of the battle, and if you’re reading this post, that time might not be too far from now. Truth is forever true, and does not need your attack or defense, to make it true. The more you remember your truth, that an all loving God create you, and that we are all One, the less need you will have to attack or defend yourself against others calls to battle. Your truth is eternal and changeless, and cannot be challenged nor changed by any of the illusionary and imaginary war games that the ego plays within time.
Today, when the ego once again calls out for war, and it will, because that is all it knows, let us consciously pause our programmed response that says that we must attack or defend, and consider giving peace a chance. Peace as an extension and expression of Love, is your true home and nature. Your true home is built on the solid unbreakable foundation of rock, of the Peace of God, and thus cannot be, in any way, shape or form, threatened by the tiny illusionary pebbles, that the ego throws its way. Today, stand straight, steady and strong, in the memory of your true eternal essence and nature. Do so, and you will need no sword to fight with, or shield to defend yourself against the ego’s fairy tale. When you stand straight, steady and strong, in the Love that is your eternal essence, you will always look for ways to lift people up and out of the battlefield. Today, allow your loving example to light the way for those who are tired of the fight. Today, become a reminder to others, that there is a place within them, of perfect peace, where the Love of God forever resides. Help remind them, that they are soldiers no longer, and that it is this one place, the state of peace, that truly belongs to them, and because we are all One, it is this one place, that belongs to all of us. God is Love and All, therefore you are in truth only this Love. You have co-created your journey with God, and so your journey, no matter what it looks like to the judgments of the ego’s world, is perfect and sacred for you, and because we are all One, so too are your brothers and sisters individual journeys, perfect and sacred for them. What need would you ever again have for judgment, what need would you ever again have to join the battlefield, if you but fully trusted God, and that the journeys that He has co-created with all of us, are all equally perfect, sacred and unique, for each one of us? Today, make the conscious choice to lay your weapons down, trust God, and unite once again with the states of perfect love and peace, both symbols of your true home, who in truth you are, and of the light that you came here to be.
Today, let us practice recalling, that the ego’s battlefields, are not our true home. Let us do this, by answering the ego’s call to judgment with forgiveness, its calls for condemnation with compassion, it calls to be right with our choice to be happy, and its calls for conflict and war with peace and a perfect trust in God’s plan. It will be by doing so, that we will raise ourselves above the battlefield, and offer our brothers and sisters a way out of the darkness, confusion, conflict and chaos, of the ego’s world. Today, let us stand solid in our truth, in the knowledge that we are God’s loving creations, and that only the Love in us is real and forever true. The truth in us needs never to defend nor attack, for the truth in us is simply and forever true. The truth in us is God’s Love, and this is forever unchanging and unchangeable. What imaginary pebbles of judgment and conflict, within the ego’s battlefields, could ever reshape, change or damage, All That Is? You are the Love and Peace that God Is, today when the ego once again calls out for war, stop, recall who in truth you are, then offer only who in truth you are, to all others.
