Daily Inspiration: April 22. Why We Sometimes Feel Lost and Confused
Imagine, equating your life to a dream. During a dream, regardless how real, frustrating or scary it seems, most of us do not realize that we are dreaming. It is only after we awaken from the dream, that we fully realize the illusionary nature and absurdity of the dream. Equally so, in life many times we ‘act’ like someone who deep down inside we know we are not. When in life we live in fear, or when fear’s expressions such as judgment, stress, anger, resentment and hate, seem to consume us, we are actually living unconsciously, or asleep within the dream. When in life we choose to be right instead of happy, hold unto pain and resentment instead of freeing ourselves through forgiveness, condemn others instead of have compassion for them, unconscious of it as we may be, these are all symbols that we are actually asleep within the dream. Your truth is that you are God’s loving creation, and God being Love is All, thus anytime you are thinking of yourself or others as anything other than love, you are in essence dreaming, supporting and reinforcing, the ego’s dream. We are all One, when we try to punish ‘someone else,’ who is in reality only a reflection and representation of our internal condition, we are dreaming. Anytime we are expressing something other than our truth, the love that we are, we are experiencing and perceiving the ego’s dream as real, as reality. Sometimes in a dream, when we get so focus on it, it really appears to be real, and we may even swear to its ‘reality’ while in it. But, no matter how real any of the thousands of dreams you have had may appear, always when you awaken, you see that it was but a dream and not real. Equally so, you might be so invested in thinking that another being is something other than love, and call him or her by dozens of names that seem to be in opposition to love, that you would swear to that “reality,” yet always, when you awaken, you will see each child of God, only as a child of God, Love as only Love. Feeling lost and confuse, these are simply symbols of one who is dreaming. Feeling at One with All, love and loving, these are symbols of one who has, or is in the process of, awakening.
We have been programmed to call the dream, reality, and still we wonder why so many of us feel lost and confused. Yet do not despair, for it is time for us to awaken; we have all slept long enough. Judgment of self and others, anxiousness, anger, resentment, hate and thoughts of revenge, are all symbols that we are believing, and buying into, the ego’s dream as real. Anytime that we express ourselves through anything other than love and its expressions such as compassion, kindness, forgiveness, generosity, peace, and joy, let that signal to us that we are dreaming. Anytime that you find yourself within the dream, remind yourself that you are God’s creation, and as such, you are forever worthy of experiencing the Love that God is. Today, allow any of the symbols of the dream, to become your own personal alarm clock, a signal to you that you have slept long enough. When you experience them, do not judge yourself or others, for doing so will only keep you dreaming, instead offer gratitude to them, that they are helping you realize, that it is now time for you to awaken. Why would you ever need to hold unto anger, resentment and hate, if you but remembered, that anything anyone ever did to “deserve” such a reaction from you, they did to show you that you were dreaming, they did to help you awaken from the dream? Why would you need to feel bad about yourself, and not be able to forgive yourself, if you but remembered, that everything other than the love that you offered others, was simply offered to them while you slept? The dream, was never real. The dream, will never be real. Only the Love of God, could ever be real, for only It is Eternal and All, and so waste no more of your precious time buying into falsities as true and fantasies as truth. You can in truth, never be anything that God is not.
Today, let us notice that when we offer love, who in truth we are, we feel blessed and joyful, and experience clarity and peace. When we offer judgment, anger and hate, who in truth we are not, we feel off balanced and lost, and experience inner confusion and chaos. Today, let us not use these confusing and chaotic times to put ourselves or others down, instead let as use them to trigger in us the memory, that it is now time for us to awaken. If we experience something within the dream, that we were taught to define as bad or negative, yet now, looking back, we see that it was actually a part of a process that helped us grow, heal and awaken, then was it ever really bad or negative in the first place? If those so-called bad or negative things, do not truly exist, then is there ever really a need to judge yourself or others, or to become angry, resentful or revengeful? There is no longer a need to judge ourselves or others for feeling lost and confused, for now we understand, that their true purpose, is to act as triggers to help remind us, that it is now time for us to awaken from the dream. If we are here, writing and reading this now, the time for feeling lost and confused is ending, and the time for peace and clarity has begun. You may think you have traveled far and experienced many difficult and challenging things, but once you awaken, you will always do so in a place that you have never left. Regardless of the dreams you dream, whenever you awaken, you will do so in God’s Loving arms. Be at peace knowing that no matter what you experience within the dream, God knows that it was but a dream, and thus the reason God has no need to judge you. God only loves you because you are His child and creation. Know that you are, and will forever be, no matter what dreams you dream, His perfect and loving child and creation.
Today, let us recall, that feeling lost and confuse, does not mean that there is something wrong with us, or that we are not wise, spiritual or good enough, these feelings are simply symbols that we remain asleep to our true nature. Sooner or later, each child of God, at their own sacred pace and time, will get tired of sleeping, and when that time comes, they will look to awaken. All the experiences we had within the dream, and all those people within those experiences, together as a whole, have brought us to this place within our minds, where we now desire to awaken. Understanding this, let us now offer them our gratitude for their participation in our dream and in our awakening. When you offer gratitude to all those you once judged, this is a symbol of an awakening mind. Gratitude, peace, clarity, being all expressions of Love, are all expressions of the awakening mind. The more we choose to align with any of the symbols of the awaken mind, the less lost and confused we will feel, until one day those lost and confused feelings, will fade away and dissolve, before our light and understanding.
