Daily Inspiration: January 21. Offering Forgiveness when Forgiving Seems Too Hard to Do

If you are having problems forgiving yourself or another, if all you can feel are thoughts of judgment, resentment, anger, hatred or revenge darkening your path, then know that it is not the truth in you that is currently in control of your thinking. If you are not in control of your thinking, then you are not in control of your mind or life. Today, take back control of your life by taking back control of your thinking. You can do this by taking back control of the thoughts that you are choosing to think, support and entertain. Today, if judgment-filled thoughts pop up, recall that they have taken you nowhere that you desire to be. Stop your support of these thoughts by no longer spending your time, focus and energy on them. Now, support and fuel the thoughts that will lead you to the life you want.

Today, let us acknowledge that being all One, it will be what we offer to others, that we will get to experience ourselves. We are all One, you are connected to God, your brother and sister are connected to God, thus you are connected to your brother and sister. Today, let us forgive others, so that we may experience peace ourselves. Every time we think of another with contempt, let us practice forgiving them, so that in essence we can choose peace instead of pain. If forgiving another seems too hard for you to do, then invite the highest, wisest, self-actualized part of yourself, that part of you that is One with God, to lead the way. If you still can not forgive, then invite Forgiveness, God Himself, to forgive them for you. Each and every time they come to mind, ask God to offer them forgiveness, peace of mind, clarity, healing and joy. Do so and you will feel these energies flowing through you and throughout your day.

How much of our time, focus and energy, in our life, have we already sacrifice to the false idol of judgment? How much more pain and suffering must we endure before we realize that because we are all One, and because we have free will, that we are in essence doing this to ourselves? How many more sleepless nights and exhausting days must we continue to carry the heavy and darken thoughts of judgment in our minds? When will we finally choose to awaken from the nightmare that the ego has sold to us as being our reality? That day, once you decided that you have had enough, can be today. Free will, in every moment, allows us this opportunity to begin anew. This is God’s gift to us, the opportunity, ability and possibility, to in every moment, begin anew. How blessed are we that no matter how long we have unconsciously chosen to remain asleep to our true nature, that God’s mercy in every moment offers us a safe and gentle way out of the darkness. Imagine, the infinite nature of God’s mercy, that no matter how long that we have turned our backs on Him, on Love, on Forgiveness, that He always allows us, in any moment, the opportunity to begin anew. Today, when in doubt, let us not despair, instead let us recall the gift of free will, and make decisions that brings us back in alignment with God, forgiveness and the state of peace. Let us offer forgiveness, in order to align with The Divine in us. Is being aligned with The Divine not the most logical and rational place for us to be? This is the opportunity that is being presented to us today, to let go of our attachments to our past judgments and return to the eternal now. Today, let us refused the judgment filled thoughts that in the past have only brought us suffering and pain. Then let us choose thoughts, such as forgiving thoughts, that once again align us with our eternal loving essence and nature.

Today, let us take back control of our thinking, and by doing so, take back control of our lives. We already are self aware enough to know that the best way to get good at something, is to practice it over and over again. Today, every time that we get to practice taking back control of our thoughts, minds and lives, let us thank, not judge, the people who are a part of this process. The more we practice forgiveness, because forgiveness is an expression of Love, and because Love is who we are, the easier, more natural and right, it will feel to choose forgiveness. Today, if our ego tries to tell us that forgiving ourself or others will be too hard to do, let us recall how much of a harder and heavier burden it is to carry the emotions of judgment, resentment, anger, hatred and revenge. Then let us reverse the ego’s mindset by praying for their health, happiness, awakening, peace of mind and joy. Let us offer them everything that we ourself would desire to experience. Let us do this over and over again, until we begin to realize the peace of mind, release and freedom from the past, that such efforts bring. Today, let us decline all of the ego’s demands to hold our brothers and sisters in contempt. Instead, let us invite the mercy and peace of God to enter, and now lead our hearts and minds. Today, understanding the important part others play in our awakening, let us be thankful to all those who the ego had programmed us to condemn. For now we know, that the more we get to practice strengthening the muscles of mercy and forgiveness, the easier and more comfortable we will become with our efforts.

Today, if the ego once again demands judgment, let us recall that the ego’s advice has never brought us to the state of peace. Then let us do the opposite of what the ego’s demands, and forgive. If we still can not find it in us to forgive, then let us ask and invite God to forgive for us. The highest part of us is one with God. Thus when God leads the way, we naturally desire to follow. Let us feel God’s forgiveness showering upon our brothers and sisters. Let us feel how freeing it feels to let go of judgment’s heavy burdens. Then let us ask God to bless our brothers and sisters for us, to bring healing to their hearts and peace to their minds. The more we practice doing so, the more natural it will feel for us to choose forgiveness and thus align with God, our true Home, destination and The Source of Peace.
