Daily Inspiration: July 2. The Light in You Can Never be Extinguished

As much as the ego would try to dim or shut it off, the light in you can never be extinguished. This light exists in everything God created, and God created All. A flower extends this light to you through its beauty and fragrance. The ocean shares this light with you when it massages your body with its waves. A tree expresses this light by extending its branches to shield you from the heat. The wind lets you feel this light by caressing and cooling your skin. The rain touches you with its light by baptizing you with the gift of life. The grass gifts you this light by softening the path that you walk on. Your brother and sister present to you this light by offering you the opportunity to love them. Your children offer you the extension of their light by allowing you the honor to hug and care for them. Your enemy offers you this light by giving you the opportunity to forgive him. The beggar in the street brings you the opportunity to feel this light by giving you the chance to be compassionate. The person in the other car offers this light by letting you show him patience. This light is not just “up there,” unreachable and separate from you. In fact, it is the opposite of that misperception. The Light is within you forever now, always One with you because you are this light. A representative of the Light is who you are, and came here to be and share. God is Love and Light, which both are One. You, being Love’s creation, are this light. You are here on this planet as a light, as a way shower. You are here to help others recall that they too, no matter how dark their lives may appear to be, also have this light within them. This light, no matter how unaware of it some may be, is their true essence, nature and Home. This light is what we are all seeking, a symbolic representation of peace, joy, compassion, forgiveness, self-awareness, love, God, and of who in truth we all forever are.

The ego will work every day to try to block your awareness to the light within. It does this in order to try to make you feel separate from All, from everyone and everything. That way it can more easily convince you, that it’s you and the ego against the world. The ego may con you for a while, but, sooner or later you will see and experience that this is an exhausting way of existing. Sooner or later, you will rebel against the ego. Sooner or later, you will no longer choose to support anything that tries to place itself in opposition to the Light. Once awakened, it is then you will want to be and represent only the light in you. Being all One, everyone, everything and All is always offering you the opportunity to recall the light in you by seeing it in them. Your task is not so much to seek for this light, for the light is already within you, within everything and All. Your task is simply to seek for what is blocking your awareness of this light. What delusions has the ego “successfully” programmed you with that are blocking you from seeing the light in your brothers and sisters, and because we are all One, in you? Are you choosing to value your brother’s so-called guilt over his innocence? Are you valuing condemnation over compassion, worry over trust, sadness over joy, and pain over peace? Where in your life are you valuing the darkness more than the Light? Remove these blocks and the Light is all that you will once again see. Guilt, condemnation and anxiousness, feeling in the dark, chaotic and conflicted, are all symbols of one who is blocking his or her light. No longer look outside of yourself for peace, for the light is in you. Go within, and see where you are choosing to believe in the ego’s delusions more than in God’s truth. If feeling in the dark do not despair, for what you have blocked you can also unblock. Begin the unblocking process by asking yourself: “What unforgiving thought am I holding unto as more dear, real and valuable than God’s mercy, forgiveness, love and compassion?”

Today, let us remember that there is no place that God’s Light, your true eternal essence, is not. Even in your perceived darkest hours, know that the Light is forever with and within you. You are not alone, have never been alone, and till time turns into eternity, will never be alone. Every single person, place or thing, on this planet is in truth this light, and so, when you decide to see them as they truly are, they can all help you find it within yourself. Today, practice becoming consciously aware within the present moment. You do this by looking for the light in everyone that you interact with, and in all situations. When you are seeing and are in alignment with the light in every person, place and thing, then know that you are being truly present. The gift of light is available to you in every moment by making the conscious choice to value the loving truth over the ego’s false concepts and programs. Your brothers and sisters are not what they think of, say or do. They are in truth this light. The animals, plants and insects are not decorations on this planet, they are this light. See and know them as the same light that you are, and you will be getting a clearer picture of the Whole-Self, your True-Self. If a brother spews darkness your way, remember this so-called darkness is not the truth in them. The darkness is simply the misperception they hold of you and you of them. Being all One, it is the misperceptions that they are holding onto about themselves. They are in essence blocking their own light, and for that reason they can not see yours. So simply overlook or forgive their misperceptions, and choose instead to only see the eternal light in them. By doing so, you will be consciously aligning with the Light. It will then be the light in you that will shine away all misperceptions, blocks and darkness.

Today, let us become aware of when we are being our light and when we are blocking our light. Some of the signs of when we are being our light, when we are aligned with and sharing our loving nature, are when we are being compassionate, forgiving, peaceful and joyful. Some of the signs of when we are blocking our light are when we are judging self or others, feeling angry, resentful and anxious. When you find yourself blocking your own light, do not despair. Simply become aware of what it is that you are doing. Then recall that you are not the ego’s delusions, you are the light. Forgive yourself and others for our misperceptions. Now, aligned with the light, choose once again. When others treat you in a manner that is not in alignment with the light in them, be compassionate and understanding. Remember that they are seeing you in this manner because they themselves have unconsciously blocked their own light, and thus can not see you as you truly are.
