Daily Inspiration: June 25. Recognizing Your Whole Self
The world you see is but a reflection of the thoughts you think. As you begin to heal your mind, you will begin to see a healed world, where your brothers and sisters begin to feel like extensions of you. We are all One. When the healed mind, a mind at peace with itself, thinks of or sees another, those they think of or see are embraced by the gifts of peace and non-judgment. A mind at peace with itself, understand that we are all individually a part of The Whole, and that each part has a sacred place and mission to play within The Whole. The Whole is incomplete without us. A mind at peace with itself, recognizes that each part of The Whole, no matter how their individual journeys appears to the ego, is moving in the direction of healing, peace and union. An unhealed mind, sees others as separate from itself, as strangers whose expressions have nothing to do with, the state of mind, that it is viewing them through. The unhealed mind sees others as strangers, because it does not recognize The Whole Self. If you are not in recognition of your Whole Self, you will unconsciously feel like a stranger to yourself. When you begin to recall your Whole Self, you will begin to see ‘others’ as you, and thus you will also begin to see less and less ‘strangers.’ The fewer strangers you see, the less you will feel like you need to defend yourself “against them” through the acts of judgment, anxiousness, anger, resentment, hate and revenge. The fewer strangers you see, the more peace you experience. When you begin to see strangers as friends, others as you, you will experience more peace, not because the world itself nor the people in it have changed, but because your mind and perception of them and the world has changed. We are all family, all God’s children, the sooner we recognize this and begin to treat each other as such, the sooner this world will come to a place of balance, peace and understanding. Today, let us take personal responsibility for the world we see.
The ego’s unconscious separate self, sees the physical body as real, and our internal eternal loving essence as an illusion. The separate self, has been programmed by the ego to believe, that it can judge and hurt others without those thoughts, words, and actions, hurting the person who thought them. The separate self, equates judgment with power and control. It thinks that the more you can judge another, the more power and control you will have over them. The only way that the ego can convince you of doing this, is to make you believe that because you are separate from another, you can judge, hurt and punish another without those actions having a negative effect on you. The unconscious separate self, for a time buys what the ego is selling, but the longer it does so, the less satisfied, peaceful and joyful, it becomes. The unconscious separate self, does everything that the ego has programmed it to do, it has done everything “right”, and so it feels confused as to why it is not feeling more satisfied, peaceful and joyful. You when you align with the unconscious separate self, you can not see that because in reality your brother and you are One, there is nothing you can do or think of them, that in some form or manner, you don’t do to yourself. Judge another, and no matter how right the ego says that you are to do so, it will be you who will have to carry the burden and weight of those judgements. Become angry with another, and no matter how right the ego tells you that you are to feel this way, it will be your own blood that boils, your own stress levels that rise, your own body and soul that you poison through your thoughts, words and actions. Yet do not despair, for the unconscious separate self will, thanks to the gift of time and life experience, sooner or later be understood as the false concept that it is. It is when you understand how little the false concept of the separate self offers you, that you will begin to look for a better way, a more satisfying, peaceful and joyful way of interacting with yourself, as and through, The Whole Self.
Today, let us begin the healing of our own minds, by letting go of the idea of strangers, and recognizing ourselves as One, as our Whole Self. We have played the ego silly little games of separateness long enough to see that it has nothing of true value to offer us. We are now starting to realize that it is by healing our own minds, that the true healing of this planet, and those that we see, begins. Today, let us say to ourselves: “I now make the conscious choice to recall and become my Whole Self, Oneness. I see every man as my brother, every woman as my sister, every child as my son or daughter, and every elderly individual as my mother or father. There is One Family, One God, One Source, One Love, One Whole Self, and my brothers and sisters come from this same Source, thus who they are, I am, and who I am, they are. Today, I choose to recognize the Whole Self and thus see them and me as One. What I think of them, I think of myself. What I wish for them, I wish for myself. It is when I see them as healed, that I know that I am healed. It is when I see them as unhealed, that I recognize that I am not in alignment with my Whole Self. Today, I thank everyone I meet and think of, for they are offering me the opportunities to practice recalling and aligning with my Whole Self. The more I get to practice aligning with my Whole Self, the more at One with God I will feel. It is in this place of safety, stability, security and peace, that results simply by me remembering who I truly am. Today, every thought that I have of a brother or sister, becomes an opportunity for me to heal my own mind, and for this I am eternally grateful to them. Today, I travel far but without distance, from a place of forgetfulness to one of remembering who I truly am, and from a place of separation to one of union with my Whole Self.”
Today, let us practice seeing the sameness in our souls as more real and valuable than the seeming separateness of our bodies. Let us practice realizing that there is not one thought we can think of another, that does not either help us heal or poisons us. Let us practice recognizing that we are all One, all sacred, unique but equally loved parts, of the Whole Self. Today, let us look upon every thought that we have of another, as an opportunity to heal ourselves, our minds, and thus come in to a more conscious alignment with the Whole Self. A healed mind, a mind at peace with itself, will look upon others with peace, and thus see a more peaceful world. It will be in this more peaceful world, a world that is not being constantly judged by the unhealed mind, where others will be free from our own judgments, and where we will be free from having to carry the weight and burden of these judgments. The healed mind, recognizing itself as The Whole Self, no longer judges ‘others’ because it has no longer a need to condemn itself.
