Daily Inspiration: March 15. Consciously Choosing Forgiveness over Judgment

God is Love, and forgiveness is one of the many expressions of Love. When we choose forgiveness over judgment, we are in essence choosing God over the ego’s programs and mindset. Today, when the ego once again demands that we judge another, let us ask ourselves: “Is this judgment really worth more to me than my peace of mind and joy?” When we figure out that it is not, let us use learn to use forgiveness as a tool that helps us realign with who in truth we are. When the ego tries to again convince you to judge, know that because judgment is its fuel source, it is doing this for its survival, not yours. The more we get to practice declining the ego’s demands, the more time we will spend joyous and in the state of peace. As forgiveness becomes our constant companion, we begin to notice how unlike the energy of judgment is to us. As we recall that judgment is not a real part of our essence and nature, our need to defend ourselves through and against it, diminishes. The ego has programmed us to believe that judgment offers us a certain level of power over the person we judge. Yet, being all One, judgment is really just an attack on yourself. If we buy into the false concept that through judgment we have power over others, then seven plus billion people “out there” can have power over us. This is obvious not a peaceful, secure or safe mindset to buy into, support and reinforce. You can not achieve the states of peace and joy when you unconsciously believe that everyone out there is out to judge you. To achieve the states of peace and joy, you need to realize that judging others in the end hurts you, and that hurting yourself is not God’s will for you. God’s will for you is perfect peace of mind and joy. Being all One, you achieve these states by offering all others what you yourself desire to experience.

Today, understanding that God is Love and All, let us recall that everything that we end up experiencing, is always, in one form or another, helpful. If everything is helpful, what logical need would there be to judge self or others? Today, everyone we meet, regardless of their actions or reactions, is helping us develop into more forgiving, compassionate and non-judgmental human beings. This in turn, makes us into more peaceful and joyful people. Thanks to their participation in our life, we are developing a deeper connection to Love, and thus a greater understanding of who in truth we are. What a gift each and every person becomes, when we realize what it is that they are truly offering us. They are offering us the opportunities to strengthen our union with God. They are helping us see, that when we unite with forgiveness, we are uniting with God. Imagine, being able to shift your mindset, from one that is unconsciously chained to the heavy burdens of the ego judgments, to one that is forever free to be One with God. Which mindset do you think would bring you closer to peace of mind and joy? Which mindset will have you tossing and turning at night, thinking about the same scenario over and over again? Which one would aid you in comfortably placing your head down on your pillow, and going peacefully to sleep? Today, make the conscious decision to no longer torture yourself with your own judgments. You, as God’s creation, are forever worthy of His peace and joy. Choose with God, and peace of mind and joy will fill more and more of your moments, days and life. Today, invite non-judgment and forgiveness to become your constant companions, this will in turn help you become who you came here to be.

Today, let us practice making forgiveness, not judgment, our primary response for our interactions. Judgment is your ego’s programmed response. Forgiveness shows you that you have taken back control of your mind from the ego. Imagine, that no matter how much the ego insisted that you must judge yourself or others, you simply smile at its request, and chose instead to forgive. How much more peace of mind and joy would you experience during such a day? Imagine, How much less weight and burden you would have to carry, if you but learned to declined the ego’s demands. Today, know that the ego will once again try to take over your decision-making process. It tries because its existence depends on you giving away your power over to it. When this happens remember, that it is you, not the ego, who should be in control of your thoughts and thinking. Recall, that God has given you free will. Every moment allows you to decide how you will choose to define it. In every moment, you have the right to think the thoughts that will color your experience. Today, when the ego tries to play its little mind control games, remind yourself: “God gave me free will. The Divine gave me the power to choose my own thoughts, and thus the world I end up experiencing. God is Love, and forgiveness and peace are both expressions of Love, just as am I. Today, I make the conscious decision to simply align with who I truly am. By aligning with my true loving essence and nature, with forgiveness, peace of mind and joy, I in essence make God my constant companion. Today, I choose forgiveness over judgment, and thus God over the ego.”

Today, let us recall, support and reinforce the understanding that who in truth we are, is the Love that God is. Forgiveness, as an expression of Love, is who in truth we are. Judgment in opposition to forgiveness, is a false concept within the ego’s illusionary mindset. When we choose forgiveness over judgment, we are choosing our true nature over the ego’s past programs and mindset. When we choose forgiveness, we are in essence choosing to represent God on Earth. Anytime we choose Love, and any of its expressions, we will feel fulfilled, because in essence we are doing what we were created to do. Anytime we align with the ego’s judgment centered programs, we will feel unfulfilled, because in essence we are doing nothing. Today, when ego once again demands judgment, let’s us stop, recall that we have free will, thank it for its suggestion, respectfully decline, and choose forgiveness instead. By doing so, we begin to take back control of our own minds and lives.

I have been thinking about and feeling resentment against two people I perceive as having “set me up” as a child and then later blamed me for something I wasn’t able to handle. As I pondered how to release my judgment and forgive them, it finally led me to see I needed to forgive myself for what I wasn’t able to handle, not blame them. Perhaps it always boils down to forgiving and loving one’s self, especially since we are all One at our core essence.

Thank you June for your comment.

What has happened in the past is now only in the past, and only we, through our own thoughts, can bring the past into the present moment. The good news to this is, that if we are the ones, who through our thoughts can bring the past into the present, then we hold the power, not the past, or others from the past.

You have never been judged by God, for God is only Love.

It is only the ego’s false programming that has made you buy into the idea of judgment.

Forgive yourself because God sees and loves you free from judgment, and it would be much wiser to follow His Mindset then the ego’s mindset. Forgive your misperception of yourself and others, because when you do, because we are all One, all you are doing is forgiving different parts of yourself. It is when you forgive, your whole-self, that you truly free yourself from the ego’s judgmental and pain-filled mindset. Forgive yourself, forgive all other parts of yourself that the ego has taught you to see as others. Do so with love and understanding. Do so every time the ego is demanding judgment and condemnation, and you will set your whole self forever free.

I am trying to move on from events where I have been a victim by writing to release and then letting it go. One such thing I am dealing with happened this weekend.

Thank you Tracy for being a member of our community.

Writing, is always a good way to put thoughts that are trying to steal your peace of mind on paper. Put them on paper, forgive them, and let them go.

Now, if those thoughts return, again, simply forgive them, offer them to God, and feel and watch them dissolve before His Love and understanding. Do this each and every time they try to enter your mind’s gate, and soon they will begin to bother you no more.
