Daily Inspiration: May 24. It Is Our Own Thoughts That Trap or Free Us
If our thoughts have trapped us in a world of judgment, anger, resentment and chaos, then know, that it is also our own thoughts that can set us free. When we realize that only our thoughts can hurt us, we will stop directing our attacks outward and start working on challenging our own internal dialogue. When our internal dialogue becomes more reflective of the truth within, of the loving energy that created us, it is then that the desires for judgment, anger and chaos, will begin to diminish. Today, let us work on polishing this internal dialogue. The more we work on polishing our internal dialogue, the more clearly we will be able to begin to see a loving world. The more loving this world appears, the less need we will have for experiencing and reacting to it with judgment, anger, resentment and revenge, and thus the more peaceful we will become. The more at peace we are, the greater conscious control we will have over the thoughts we think. It is then, in this conscious self-aware state, that our thoughts begin to work for us, instead of against us. We will know when our thoughts are working for us, when they are bringing us peace of mind, joy and a sense of gratitude, towards God, our lives and experiences. We will know when our thoughts are working against us, when we feel stress out, worried, frustrated, angry, resentful and even hateful. The thoughts that are working for us will lift our spirits, and the thoughts that aren’t will weigh us down. As you see, it is not difficult to figure out when your internal dialogue is aligned with God, Love, Light, or with the darken nature of the ego’s fear based mindset. What is useful, is to start to notice, that it is your internal dialogue, that ends up painting the picture of the world you see and experience. Thus, if you are not at peace with your current perception of your world, then it is within you, that you can begin to change it.
We are all One, and thus what we consciously or unconsciously think about ourselves, our internal dialogue, will in one way or another, be projected onto others and this world. If our minds are holding unto loving thoughts, we will see and experience a more loving world. If our minds are holding onto thoughts of confusion and pain, it will be a confusing and painful world that we will end up seeing and experiencing. When we focus our minds on thoughts of Oneness/Love, then this helps remind us that there is no one really ‘out there’ to attack, and so no one ‘outside’ of us that can, through their thoughts or words, attack the truth in us. If there is no one you must defend against, then the ‘outside’ world once again becomes a safer, more loving and peaceful place. Once the ego’s illusionary thoughts cease to have effect on us, it is then when true freedom from them can begin to be experienced. Today, lift your head up towards the sky and see that there is a circle of compassion, joy, peace and understanding, that begins to grow and expand around you the more you are focused on aligning your thoughts with love. The more that your thoughts are loving, the more that you will view those around you in a loving manner. The more love you see around you, the more peaceful and comfortable you will feel, which will then make it even easier to have even more peaceful and loving thoughts. Living in this more peaceful and loving place and state of mind, will begin to bring you a sense of gratitude to God for your experience, and this conscious alignment with God, will bring you joy and a sense of fulfillment, of Oneness. All this because you made the conscious decision, to each day, focus a little more of your time and energy, on aligning with the loving thoughts that are in truth simply a reflection of your eternal essence.
Today, let us pay very close attention, to how the thoughts we think, our internal dialogue, ends up painting the picture of the world we see. It is the picture of the world we see that we end up reacting to. It is the world we see, that the unconscious mind, continues to blame for how we feel within and how it ‘makes us’ react. But what the unconscious mind does not see, is that is was our own thoughts, that created the world that we are now reacting to and experiencing. Today, let us pay close attention to when our unconscious mind is in control. Anytime we are reacting to a world that we ourselves have created through judgmental, angry, resentful and chaotic thoughts, let us then see those moments, not as times to judge ourselves as not spiritual or good enough, but as opportunities to remind us, that we are out of alignment with our true nature, and that it is now time for the conscious self-aware mind, to take back control of our thinking. Then let us offer ourselves a ‘pat on the back’, for having the wisdom to get us from the unconscious state to the conscious state, simply through the vehicle of the thoughts that we think. Finally, let us offer all those who participated in our physical experience gratitude, for being part of a process, that is helping us once again take back control of our thoughts, minds, and thus of the world we are and will be experiencing. Let us always remind ourselves, that it is we who should be controlling our thoughts, our thoughts should not be controlling us. When our thoughts are aligned with the Love that God is, it is we, who are controlling our thoughts. When our thoughts are not aligned with our eternal loving essence, then understand that it is the ego’s programmed thoughts that are controlling you.
Today, our main goal is to practice, consciously spending, more and more of our day aligning loving thoughts. Another goal would be, to practice retaking control of our thoughts, when we feel them not aligning with love. Today, when our mind seems to be entertaining thoughts about ourselves or others that are not loving, let us do 5 things: First, recognize that we are out of alignment with our goal for the day. Second, we stop placing our time, focus and energy, on these unloving thoughts. Third we forgive ourselves and everyone else involve for thinking about or expressing something other than our true essence. Fourth, we bless and pray for those that the unconscious mind was having us curse. Fifth, we offer them gratitude for helping us practice taking back control of our own thoughts, and thus of our minds and lives.
