Daily Inspiration: May 29. Peace: What We Choose To Focus On We Will Experience

Today, let us notice that we end up experiencing what we focus on. The choice of what we focus on is always ours to make. The more our thoughts, words and actions are focused on achieving a state of peace, the more peaceful our experience will be. Equally so, the more our thoughts, words and actions are focused on chaos, the more chaotic our experience will be. So let us practice making peace our focus today. As we do, we will reduce how much we blame the world for how we feel, and take greater personal responsibility for our experience. The more we make peace our conscious focus, the more it will become our automatic state. Thanks to free will, it is we who in the end decide what thoughts, words, emotions and actions we support with our time, focus and energy. Thus, it is we who decide how much peace we experience during our day. Let us today no longer blame the outside world or others, for what we are thinking, feeling or experiencing. Let us no longer give our power away to the outer world. If we have final say over the thoughts we think, and thus over our words and emotions, then how we are feeling is for us to decide. Let us no longer give our free will away to the ego’s programs and mindset. Let us recall, that when we buy into the ego’s way of thinking, and blame the outer world for our internal condition, we give our power away to the ego. The ego wants us to believe that power resides outside of us, and not within us. Today, it is we, not the ego, who holds the key to our peace of mind. We do so by choosing to take personal responsibility for how we feel. Let us now take the reigns of our own life, and decide to live it in conscious alignment with the state of peace.

Today, let us get a better feel for how it is that what we focus on, we end up experiencing. To do so, let us create our own personal peace workshop. Before any interaction, remind yourself of today’s goal by saying to yourself: “Above all else, peace is my goal for this interaction.” Decide that you will no longer judge yourself or others. Decide that you will do your best to keep moving the conversation towards the state of peace. If you find someone being critical of another, do not judge them for their way of thinking. Do not join them in their thinking. Instead, offer them a silent prayer of peace, that peace may surround him or her in its loving light and embrace. Use your words, actions and reactions, to help guide others to a place of peace. If your friend becomes sarcastic or says hurtful things, do not feed the negativity. Again, consciously shift the conversation in the direction of your goal. Keep reminding yourself throughout the encounter: “Above all else, peace is my goal in this interaction.” Continue to consciously support this mindset, until it becomes second nature to do so. If another seems to be dragging the conversation downwards towards judgment and chaos, do not allow this to occur. Equally so, do not judge them for their unconscious behavior. Instead, let such behavior trigger in you the understanding that it is now time to begin to lift the conversation to a higher place, and thus give it a greater purpose. If they speak of judgment, start taking about the peace that forgiveness brings. If they seem to be anxious or worried, remind them that when they put their trust in God, peace results. If they seem sad and are feeling hopeless, use your life experience and the lessons you have learned along the way, to bring them hope. Do so and watch peace become your constant companion.

As you awaken, you will begin to see how every moment offers you the opportunity to recall that what you choose to focus on, you experience. God is Love and All, thus every moment is here to help you, in some way, shape or form, grow, heal and awaken. Every moment is here to help remind you that it is you, not the ego, who should be in control of your thinking. Today, if you are being presented with what appears to be a stressful moment, do not despair or curse it, yourself or others. Instead, recall what every moment is here for, and offer it and those involved with it, your gratitude. Remind yourself that Because God is Love and All, that everything will turn out all right. If you are presented with a situation where the ego demands that you  judge yourself or another, stop and remind yourself that it is you, not the ego, who should be in control of your thinking. Then offer forgiveness to help bring you back into alignment with the state of peace. Every moment, when properly perceived, is an invitation to choose the Peace of God over the ego’s pain and fear based delusional mindset. Understanding this, let us offer each and every moment, and each and every person involve in it, our gratitude. Today, offer gratitude to the moment, and by doing so, let us together learn how to choose peace instead of pain. Understanding the sacred nature of each moment, now we offer gratitude to those who in the past the ego would have had us curse. By doing so we also assist them in choosing peace instead of pain, and thus together we help create a more peaceful environment and world. The more you choose to focus your thoughts on answering this world chaos through Love’s expressions, the more you will see that no matter the cards you are dealt, that it is you and not this world who holds them.

Today, let us note that unless we place our thoughts and focus on something, we do not experience it. Thus, the world we experience is not so much a function of what seems to be happening “out there,” but a reflection of the thoughts that we ourselves are choosing to entertain. If we focus on the thoughts and energies of anxiousness, worry and stress, then our world will become a reflection of these fear based patterns. Yet, if we place our full focus and trust in God, then the state of peace will become our constant companion. Now, the same exact fearful world that the ego had programmed us to see, becomes a world that under God’s protection and guidance, reflects only peace. Understanding this we see that it is indeed our focus that drives our experience. It is we who in the end decide our levels of peace and clarity, or fear and chaos. The amount of peace or pain that we experience in this world, is after all is said and done, ours to decide.
