Daily Inspiration: May 7. In This World Unlearning is True Learning
There is nothing more you must learn, for all wisdom already resides within you. What we will be doing today is unlearning. Unlearning some of the pain, anger, anguish, resentment and suffering, that the ego has convinced us is a normal part of our daily experience. In reality, whenever we are spending any of our time, aligned with anything other than Love’s expressions, this is just a symbol that we have bought into the ego’s programs and false concepts as true. Luckily, as God’s loving creations, we have been gifted free will, thus we can unlearn what the ego has taught us. Instead of having the ego’s programs tell us how we should be, feel, act and react, we can now proactively practice, taking back control of our own thoughts and minds. Today, anytime that we are not at peace, joyful, forgiving, compassionate and loving, then let that signal to us, that it is time to unlearn what the ego has taught us. Equally so, when we feel frustrated, judgmental, angry, resentful or revengeful, again let that signal to us, that it is time to unlearn. For a time we have allowed the blind, the ego, to lead the blind, those of us who have bought into its programs as real. Yet, let us not put ourselves or others down for believing that the unreal is real, instead, let us simply allow these behaviors, to trigger in us, a response to awaken, and thus to begin unlearning the ego’s programs. Let us today, use the ego mindset and tools, not to punish ourselves or others, but simply to signal to us, that it is now time to begin the deprogramming process. This way we retrain our minds, to use the ego for our benefit. The more we learn to use the ego as an ally instead of an adversary, the more peace-centered our relationship with it will become. The more we practice unlearning, the more time we will have to dedicate to aligning with and thus reinforcing, our true nature. In essence, this practice of unlearning, will help us to more consciously and continuously, align with our true nature, and by doing so reinforce and strengthen, the peaceful and loving beings, that we in truth are.
When the ego demands frustration, judgment, anger, resentment or revenge, when it insist that you worry, become anxious or stressed out, when sadness and depression are called for, somewhere within you, will feel like you are acting. You will feel like if you are acting because, these thoughts, emotions and behaviors, are not aligned with your true nature, and thus are not a part of your eternal loving essence. You will feel this way, because the ego itself is not a real part of you, and so if the ego itself is illusionary, then all its so-called tools and beliefs, are also illusionary in nature, and thus not the truth in you. The ego is simply a limited illusionary belief system within the mind, and thus all of the thoughts, actions and reactions, that are fabricated by it, are foreign and unnatural to you. Let us no longer put ourselves down for buying into untruths as true. Let us no longer think of ourselves as not spiritual, wise, mature or intelligent, for reacting in these self-destructive patterns. Let us simply and gently, practice unlearning, what we no longer want. Let us practice unlearning, by becoming more conscious aware within the present moment, and taking back control of our own thinking, by proactively setting the goal for every experience. By being proactive and putting our focus and energy towards achieving our goal, this will makes us, personally responsible for our experience. Let’s say, if we know that we are going into an interaction with a person who we have been programmed by the ego to believe frustrates and angers us, before that interaction, we will make our goal, to be extra consciously aware, to be more patient, compassionate and understanding, towards them. During the interaction we practice deep breathing, and focus on our goal. By doing so, our outcome will start to more closely align with our goal, and not with how the ego has programmed us to respond.
Today, before every interaction, let us go into it, with a goal already in mind. This goal will be, that whatever we think the ego is demanding us to think, feel or do, in regards to the situation we are going into, or the person or people we are to meet, we will consciously focus on doing the opposite of what it demands. For example, if before a situation, the ego wants you to feel worried, anxious or stressed out, we will remember that today it is we, not the ego, who is in control and setting the goal. Our goal is always to unlearn what the ego has taught us, and align with and offer, our true loving nature. Before the interaction or event we remind ourselves, that our goal is to trust in God’s plan, remember that God is Love, that He only has our best interest in mind, and thus that the result of the interaction or event, will be one that will be, a reflection of God’s Love. Throughout the interaction, we keep reminding ourselves of our goal, until we feel consciously aligned with and embrace by, the state of peace. By doing so, we practice consciously unlearning the ego’s programs of worry, anxiousness and stressing out, and replacing it with a greater trust in God, which then brings about a more peaceful state to our hearts and minds. Today, let us be grateful that we are actually awake enough to practice deprogramming ourselves. Today, every situation is simply helping us practice, setting our own goals for it. In this case it would be something like saying to yourself before the interaction: “My goal for this interaction, is to trust in God’s plan until this mindset aligns me with the state of peace. I now take all my time and energy, to focus my thoughts on trusting God, and by doing so, I let go and unlearn, what the ego has taught me. By doing so, peace results and my ego dissolves.”
Today, every thought or emotion that seems to bring pain, anguish and suffering, to our life, we practice unlearning. We practice unlearning the ego’s programs, and by doing so, begin to take back control of our own minds. We take back control of our own minds, by setting up a goal before every interaction or event. If we, thanks to our past experience, know that an interaction or event brings us anxiousness and stress, because they are both expressions of the ego’s mindset, we instead set a goal of doing, thinking and focusing on, the opposite of what the ego demands. In such a situation, before the interaction, we make our goal to trust God more, until we feel embraced by the state of peace. We now go into the interaction, with our goal already set, and thus the situation becomes a means to achieve our goal. Our goal is always, in one form or another, to unlearn the ego’s program, and align once again with our loving nature. The more we make the conscious effort to align with our loving nature, the less time, focus and energy, we put into the ego’s programs, the more these programs will begin to fade away. The state of peace, will then become a symbol to us, that we are beginning to successfully unlearn, what the ego has taught us.
