Daily Inspiration: October 5. What Has Anger and Judgment Ever Done For Us?
We are all One, when we hold unto anger and judgment-centered thoughts about others, such thoughts poison us. Today, let us make the conscious decision, to no longer hold anyone a prisoner to our anger and judgment. The ego will insist that we have every right to feel anger and judgment, but has that advice ever brought us the peace of mind and joy that we so desire and deserve? Has our decision to follow the ego’s programs, and judge a fellow brother or sister as guilty, ever calmed our minds while we try to fall asleep? Has anger ever helped us wake up with a clear conscious, and feeling lighthearted, joyful and free? We have all felt the heavy weight and burden of our anger and judgments. They may be anger and judgments towards self or others, yet still, no matter how right we have been programmed by the ego to feel about our anger and judgment, the destination of peace and joy that we are trying to reach, is not found by traveling the ego’s roadways. We will continue to travel the ego’s roadways, over and over again, until we finally realize that they are not taking us to where we want to go. The pain that we experience by following the ego’s path is not necessary, it is optional. Why choose to experience something that you truly do not want? It is when we get that the ego’s roadways do not take us to our desired destination, that we will begin to look for and choose, a better way. There is a kinder, gentler and more loving road, that will take you to where you truly desire to go. It is that road that today we are being offered, and that today we will practice offering to others. We are all One, offer what you desire to experience. The more you practice offering and thus experiencing what you truly want, the more natural this behavior will become. The more you offer a kinder, gentler and more loving path to others, the more worthy of that path, you yourself will feel.
The road we are always on, is the road that we think we need to take, to reach our destination. The roads of anger and judgment are taken by those who believe there is no better way. Their lack of believe in a better way, is not a symbol that they are unwise or evil, it is simply a symbol of a mind that is asleep at the wheel, and thus unaware of its true nature. There is no need or usefulness in us judging our fellow traveler for being unaware of their true path, essence and nature. Instead of putting them down for being unaware, take such an opportunity, to notice that you have been set on their path, to help them recall that there is a better way. You have been placed on their path to offer them the opportunity to alleviate their suffering, for when they are choosing anger and judgement, suffering is what they are doing, choosing and traveling towards. Unconsciously, because they have used anger and judgment towards others, they believe that they need to be punished for hurting God’s children. The ego has convince them that they are guilty, and that the guilty must be punished, and so they end up punishing themselves through their own thoughts. Be gentle, compassionate, forgiving and understanding, for those who are punishing themselves with their own thoughts, are very weary, and find it very hard to find rest, clarity, peace of mind or joy. They have struggle long, and are struggling still. They need our assistance, not our judgment and anger. They need our hand, not the symbolic back of it. You are in their presence because God has placed you there, so that you can both grow and heal from the experience. Appreciate, be humble and feel honored, that God has entrusted you with His child. Offer them a way out of their pain and misery, by showing them, through your example, who they in truth are, a peaceful, kind, compassionate, forgiving, joyful and loving being.
Today, we realize what judgment and anger are doing to us, and we reject whatever argument the ego makes that says that being right, or making others wrong, is worth more to us, than our peace of mind and joy. Today, let us take every opportunity where the ego insist we must become angry and judgmental, and instead we use it to practice compassion and forgiveness. By doing so, we set our brothers and sisters free, and forever close the gates to a prison that was never meant to house us, any of us. When you decline the ego’s programmed response of anger and judgment, you are accepting and reminding yourself, that you are worthy of God’s peace of mind and joy. In every moment, it is what you value most, that you will choose and thus experience. Value anger more than peace, and you will have what you value. Value judgment more than forgiveness, and your destination by now should be quite clear. Today, let us take personal responsibility for what we are valuing and thus experiencing. Today, before any interaction, remind yourself, that as God’s child, you are forever worthy of his peace of mind and joy, and also remind yourself, that because we are all One, so too is everyone else worthy of these same gifts. Do not place the responsibility for what you choose to value on others, for that is only giving your power and free will away to them. Let us no longer buy into the ego’s false promises that judgment and anger offer us some sort of power over others. No one with true power, would desire to experience the pain, misery and suffering, that judgment and anger bring. True power is self-awareness, a conscious alignment with your loving nature and Source, when this road is taken, the need for judgment and anger end.
Today, let us take a look back at what judgment and anger have done for us, and see that they have offered us nothing that in truth we want. Then, let us ask ourselves, why would we continue to support a mindset that is not supportive of us, and that offers us nothing we want? We desire the peace of mind and joy of God, and because we are His children, we are forever worthy of them. We are God’s creations, thus who He is we are. Today, when the ego demands we once again follow it dead-end roads, let us stop ourselves, recall that these roads do not take us to where we want to be, and then do our best, to follow our Father’s lead. Our Father is Love, and Love has many expressions, such as those of mercy, compassion, grace, forgiveness and understanding. Today, before every interaction remind yourself: “I am God’s creation, I am worthy of His peace and joy, and we are all One, thus today I will offer all others what I myself desire to experience.” Today, offer God’s gifts to all, so that you may feel and experience them flowing through you and throughout your day.
