Daily Inspiration: October 9. Understanding the ‘Acts’ of Frustration and Anger

When we “act” frustration and anger towards self or another, what the ego is trying to do is separate us from our true self and from each other. We are all One, but if the ego can convince us that we are separate from each other, then it also can make us think we are separate from God. The ego is trying to convince us to believe that if we experience and express judgment, frustration and anger, than we can obviously not be a part of a perfect all-loving God. If we feel separate from God, then the ego knows we will look to it for safety and support. If we feel separate from others, then the ego can convince us that we can judge them without hurting ourselves. Judgment is the ego’s main fuel source. This is why it needs to convince us that it is safe to judge others. Still do not despair, for the ego being destructive is self-destructive in nature. It can only rule us for so long before we figure out that there must be a better way of co-existing with each other. Today let us not judge, be frustrated by or angry with others. Let us instead realize that it is their participation in our lives that are providing us with the opportunities grow, heal and awaken. It is these opportunities that will help us see and feel how truly destructive and unlike the ego’s mindset is to our true loving essence and nature. For this alone let us be grateful, not judgmental, for their presence in our lives. Let us also be grateful, not judgmental of God, for He uses all, even our delusion, for a greater good. It is by getting to experience the darkness and its symbols such as those of frustration and anger long enough that we get to realize their futility. Understanding this, now thanks to free will we can choose a more productive and natural experience and path.

Today, let us note our brothers’ and sisters’ service to us. It is because of their participation in our life that we are getting to see, feel and experience where the ego’s programs are ruling our minds. Many times, the ego’s tools of frustration and anger need to be physically seen, felt and experienced before they are fully understood, forgiven and let go. The ego uses its tools as blocks to try to impede our connection with, and understanding of, our true self. Our brothers and sisters are thus volunteering to be used as targets for us to project our delusions onto the physical form. In the physical form we can more concretely deal with these blocks. This helps us better see and understand their unproductive nature. The sooner we see and realize that they are offering us nothing we truly want the sooner we will, through forgiveness, start letting them go. It is by doing so that we begin to find a more productive way of being and interacting with each other. Today, no matter how blocked we may be or feel let us always remember that we are worthy of our Father’s inheritance. Let us recall that love, peace of mind and joy are His eternal gifts to us. Let us thank, not judge the ego’s mindset for helping us recognize that there must be a better way. Now wee know that its tools of frustration and anger are not getting us to where we want to be. We are all God’s creations, all forever worthy of a better way. Being all One do not deny this better way to another or else you will be excluding it from your experience. Every brother and sister, no matter how attached they may appear to be to the ego’s mindset is worthy of this better way. Today, light the way for those who are finding it too hard to see. Be that ray of light. Bring hope and healing to those who are blocked because they have bought into the ego’s false concepts as true.

Today, let us learn to see our brothers and sisters as our allies, and not our adversaries. They are here to help us see what we do and do not want. When frustration or anger knock on our mind’s door let us not judge others for this. For when we do we give our power away to them. Instead, let us take personal responsibility for how we are feeling and reacting.  Now, when frustration and anger come let us offer our brothers and sisters gratitude. They are in truth simply offering us another opportunity to practice taking our power back from the ego’s mindset. It is by doing so that we begin to take back control of our own minds. They are helping us recall that our thoughts and reactions should not be controlling us.

They are showing us that we no longer need to play   puppets in the ego’s game. Now it is we who will be controlling our own thoughts, and thus our minds and lives. We will know when we are back in control when our thoughts, feelings and reactions aligned with our loving nature. Today allow Love’s expressions, such as those of compassion, peace, joy and understanding to show us that we are back on this more productive path. Let us now use gratitude, forgiveness and a trust in God to help steady our walk. The more we choose them over the ego’s false concepts of judgment, frustration and anger, the more natural such choices will become. The more opportunities we are offered by others to make such choices the more normal this way of thinking will be. The more natural and normal this way of thinking becomes, the more we will see and experience that there is truly nothing easier than being who in truth we are and were created by God to be.

Today, let us practice going from a mindset where the ego’s programs are in control to one where we, our loving eternal essence is back in the driver seat.  Judging of self and others, frustration and anger are a few symbols that show us that the ego’s mindset is controlling our thinking. A few symbols that will show us that we are back in control are gratitude, forgiveness and a trust in God. First, let us be grateful to others for offering us the opportunities to practice letting go of the ego’s programs. Second, let us forgive them for whatever it is that we had been programmed to think they did to us. Third, let us place our trust in God’s plan, in the Divine Design. We do so knowing that God is Love and thus will use all our experiences to help us grow, heal and awaken us to our eternal loving essence and nature.
