How Are You Choosing to Carry Your Past?

It is not the past, but how we choose to carry the past, that affects us now. It is not what others have done to us; it’s how we now choose to carry their actions that affect us now. Let us all start taking greater personal responsibility for how we choose to carry the past, and use it now to participate in the world. People in our past did the best they could with the coping mechanism, knowledge, and tools they had available to them at the time, if they did the best they could, then forgiveness and compassion, not hate and condemnation, can be our response. If we have been hurt, then it is part of our mission to heal and help others heal those same areas. Every sad, bad, or even terrible thing that has happen to us, through our power of free will, can be used for our own and this planet’s growth and development. Today let us remember that we have been gifted free will, and thus have the ability to make a blessing out of a curse. Thanks to our life experience we can better help others understand and advance their own healing process, and at the same time lay the groundwork so that future generations need not have to go through what we went through. …continue reading.
