Inspirational Quotes about Prayer

Ask, my friend. You ask for so little. The universe waits for you to ask. Ask and be open to the recognition of the gifts that are offered to you every day. The more you focus on what you want, the easier it will be for you to recognize the gifts when they are being offered. The more you recognize the gifts that are being offered to you every day, the more thankful you will become. You will thank yourself for becoming more aware, and you will thank the universe. You will find yourself being more appreciative of the little things that life offers. You will acknowledge and be more thankful to your brothers and sisters. In doing this, you will raise your vibration, and it will become easier for you to acknowledge many more of the gifts that you once had not even noticed. You will more clearly see the signs on the road, and this will provide a more comfortable, carefree and joyful ride.inspirational quote - end

Inspiring quote

The fourth step encourages prayer or meditation in order to receive clarity with regard to your situation. My friend, if you knew how ready the universe is to support you, you would never again question whether your situation is too petty to bring up. You don’t ask God for too much, you ask Him for too little. Clarity is eternally available, and your intent to receive it is all that is needed. If your teachers have told you that no question is too stupid to ask, wouldn’t you think that the universe is at least as wise? My brother and sister, no question is too petty or small for you to bring up. Trust me when I tell you that the universe literally smiles when, through your questions, you align with it.inspirational quote - end

Inspiring quote

One night after my frustrations peaked, I decided to take my complaints to the man upstairs. No, not my uncle, but to God Himself! Although I did not have an institutionalized, religious-based relationship with God, I did feel that I had enough of a personal relationship with Him that I could file a complaint. I got into a meditative state, quieted my mind and began my inquisition (sorry, I meant to say I began my prayer). I vocalized all my feelings, and became quiet in order to hear the response. I waited and waited, got nothing, heard nothing and fell asleep.

The next morning, right before awakening, I got a response that would forever change my life. It was a simple message, yet with this thought form came such a profound understanding that my life would be eternally affected. inspirational quote - end

Inspiring quote

Several years ago, I was traveling through the south and stopped in North Carolina to visit a friend. I met a young woman who was trying to start her career as a gospel/rock singer. One night we had a conversation on forgiveness and before the night was over she asked me to write a song for her on the subject. I explained to her that I had no knowledge of how to write songs but that I would try to put some words together. Again, I promised her nothing but that I would try. For more than an hour before I went to sleep, I tried putting some thoughts on paper but nothing really came to mind. So, I did what I always do when I am stuck or looking for some sort of answer or inspiration – I prayed. Soon after, I meditated for a few minutes, then fell asleep.

The next morning as I was in the state right before waking, I heard and felt a knock on the top of my head. It literally felt as if someone took a knuckle and tapped me on my head. I had never had such an interesting direct physical sensation. But as I began opening my eyes I had this strong need to pick up a pen and write. The poem below is what came to me. In about ten to fifteen minutes I had it all written on a piece of paper.inspirational quote - end

Inspiring quote

The third step toward choosing peace on the road is to pray for every driver who cuts you off or is driving recklessly. Replace the angry reaction that has brought you nothing but pain and sadness – with a prayer. Let that prayer come directly from your heart. Reach into your heart and pray that the individual gets home safely, that he or she has a great day, and that his or her kids and family are showered with love. With all your soul, pray for God to send angels to escort him or her home. Pray that they touch his or her heart so he or she might think of others and slow down. Pray that anything that is bothering him or her will be washed away through God’s mercy. Do this for him or her and you will be set free. You will feel all that you have asked for them. What you will receive in return is a peace that will fill your drive anywhere you go.inspirational quote - end

Inspiring quote

The immediate person thinks and imagines that when he prays, the important thing, the thing he must concentrate upon, is that God should hear what he is praying for. And yet, in the true, eternal sense, it is just the reverse: the true relation in prayer is not when God hears what is prayed for, but when the person praying continues to pray until he is the one who hears, who hears what God wills. The immediate person, therefore, uses many words and, therefore, makes demands in his prayer; the true man of prayer only attends. (36) inspirational quote - end
