Our Children and the Thoughts We Think

We make it a point to remind our children to be aware of the friends they choose. We know how important it is that our children choose positive and loving peers to surround themselves with. Yet we do not put half that effort into supporting our own lives by consciously choosing the thoughts we think and surround ourselves with. The thoughts we think, hold unto, and support, will either pollute or invigorate our lives. The thoughts we think will then in turn serve as examples to our children of the energies we should surround ourselves with. Today we put as much conscious effort into choosing kind and loving thoughts that support our growth and development as we do in guiding our children to helping them choose kind and loving friends that will help support their growth and development. Our thoughts can become our greatest supporters or drown our days in sorrow. Today we serve as examples to our children by loving and supporting ourselves as much as we love and encourage them.
