Daily Inspiration: July 2. The Light in You Can Never be Extinguished – Condensed Version
As much as the ego would try to dim or shut it off, the light in you can never be extinguished. This light exists in everything God created, and God created All. A flower extends this light to you through its fragrance. The ocean shares this light with you when it massages your body with its waves. The grass gifts you this light by softening the path that you walk on. Your enemy offers you this light by giving you the opportunity to forgive him. The beggar in the street offers this light by giving you the chance to express compassion. The person in the other car offers this light by letting you show him patience and kindness. This light is not just “up there,” unreachable and separate from you, in fact it is the opposite of that misperception, this light is within you forever now, always One with you because you are this light.
Today, let us practice becoming more consciously aware, of when we are being our light, or when we are blocking our light. Some of the symbols of when we are being our light are that we aligning with and sharing our loving nature, such things as being compassionate, forgiving, peaceful, joyful and understanding. Some of the symbols of when we are blocking our light are that we are judging ourselves or others, and feeling angry, resentful, anxious, off balanced and without direction. When you find yourself blocking your own light, do not despair, simply become aware of what it is that you are doing, recall that you are not the ego’s false concepts, that you are the light, forgive yourself and others, and return to consciously supporting, being and sharing the light.
All glory to God.
Peace, Health, Happiness, Love, Laughter, and Light.
