Daily Inspiration: August 15. The Words We Use Will Lead Us to the Life We Live
Today, let us make a concerted effort to pay very close attention to the words we are using. Not only the words we are verbalizing to others, but also those that we are internally saying to ourselves. Words are simply verbal manifestations of thoughts. By verbalizing what we are thinking and feeling, we get a better picture of the emotional state of our internal condition. The genesis of our thoughts come from who’s advice we follow. There are two main advisors, God Who Is Love, and the ego that represents fear. When we are communicating through our highest self, aligned with God, our words are kind, gentle, forgiving, graceful, generous, loving and produce peace of mind, comfort and joy. When we are following and listening to the ego, our words become sarcastic, judgmental, hurtful and produce inner conflict, discomfort, pain and guilt. By paying close attention to what we are saying to others and to ourselves, we get a clearer picture, whose advice we are consciously or unconsciously following. Following Love’s advise will lead us to peace, while following fear’s advice will lead us to pain. Our final destination will be a place of peace or pain, a decision that thanks to free will, is ours and ours alone to make. We have all traveled down the ego’s path and allowed it many times to become our advisor, but let us not despair, for God being Love, He can use all, even the ego’s deceptions, for good. And so even when the ego becomes our advisor, it is showing us, by the emotional pain that we are experiencing following its advice, that this is not truly a road that we want to continue to travel. Our pain tolerance may be quite high, but it is definitely not without limit, and so even when the ego ‘wins’, by us following its advise, it loses, because we experience how unproductive its way of thinking truly is.
Let us today understand, that where we end up, is the place that we ourselves unconsciously believe, we are currently worthy of experiencing. Whenever you find yourself in a destination of emotional or spiritual pain, do not judge yourself as bad, not spiritual enough, or unworthy of peace, instead be grateful that you now have the wisdom to review how you got to this place, then remind yourself that as Love’s creation, you are worthy of, and are free to now make, thanks to the gift of free will, a better more loving choice. Today, do not despair when you find yourself in a difficult situation, instead practice offering gratitude to God, for thanks to free will, every single moment allows you the opportunity to begin anew, to choose once again. Your current destination does not need to be an end, it can just as easily become a new beginning. Practice bringing this truth into your consciousness, anytime that you are feeling fearful, stuck or dishearten. Simply stop supporting the thoughts and words, the mindset, that supports paths and thinking, that leave you feeling fearful, stuck and dishearten. Instead of withering away in the ego’s darkness, begin to figure out, which thoughts and words, have the ability to lift you out of the ego’s dark pit of despair and align you once agin with your loving light, your true nature and eternal essence. Then practice making the conscious effort to choose them over and over and over again, until choosing to align with the light instead of the darkness, becomes second nature. Practice thinking, verbalizing, living and supporting, the life that you want to experience, nothing more is asked of you in order to start moving in the direction of your dreams.
Today, let us practice noticing if the words that we are using, are moving us in the direction of, or away from, the life we want. When today we notice that our words are not supporting or moving us in the direction of the life we want, let us make a concerted effort, to stop as soon as we catch ourselves doing so, and then shift our focus to choose words that actually support, help guide and lead us, to the life we want. The less time that we spend walking away from our desired destination, the less distance we will have to travel to get there. Let us not put ourselves down when we find ourselves using non-supportive language, instead, let us first pat ourselves on the back for getting to a place in our awakening process, where we now have the wisdom to recognize, when we are not being supportive of ourselves. Then let us simply, gently and consciously, change advisors and thus direction. The more we practice this self-awareness technique, the more control we will have over the words we use, and thus the quicker we will reach our desired destination. The more supportive we consciously are of ourselves, because we are all One, the more naturally supportive we will become of others. The more supportive we are of others and ourselves, the less judgment and pain we will feel and experience, and the more joyful and peaceful we will become. All this growth and beauty coming from the simple choice to become more self-aware of the words we use on a daily basis, and how those words are paving the way to the destiny of our choice. Today, let us not take our words lightly, for that same road that they are paving, will be the one that one day, our children will travel.
Today, let us focus on getting a better understanding of our internal condition. We do this by paying attention to the words that we are using, but not only with others, but with ourselves, our own internal dialogue. There is no one on this planet that will speak more to you during your lifetime than you will. Silent as most of those words may be, you are healing or poisoning yourself with every thought you think. Today, do not despair if many of the words that you are using have been harsh, punishing and unkind, for we have free will, and thus we can shift in any moment, from a fear based advisor to the love based advisor. You, as Love’s creation, are forever worthy of God’s advice. Today, remember that, and accept only loving, kind, forgiving, healing and understanding, thoughts and words, from yourself. The more you align with this loving and uplifting self-dialogue, the quicker you will recall how truly worthy you are of the life that it produces. The quicker you recall your true worth, the less time you will desire to dedicate to judgmental, fear based or demeaning dialogue.
