In so many ways, throughout the day, the ego’s world tries to put us down. We then end up buying into this mindset, and start putting ourselves and others down. After the ego has convinced us to put ourselves or others down, it then has us judge ourselves for judging others and ourselves. It almost feels like being in a tornado of judgment, always under some form of attack, with no place left to hide. Yet still, let us not despair, for today instead of judging ourselves for being a part of this tornado of judgment, let us start to notice that every time we participate in this chaos, it seems to also get us a step closer to wanting to escape from this chaotic mindset. Let us recall, that the ego’s mindset is self-destructive, and so the more time we spend entertaining it and its ideas, the more we will get to see how unlike its mindset is to the truth in us. The more we see how our true loving nature is not in alignment with the ego’s mindset, the more we will desire to leave its way of thinking, acting and being. Our capacity to suffer may be high, but it is not without limit, and so there is always only a certain amount of time that we can keep on judging ourselves and others, before we get tired of treating each other in this manner. It is when we start getting tired of the way we are treating each other, that we will start looking for a kinder, gentler, more compassionate, understanding and loving way. Today, if you find yourself once again traveling the ego’s chaotic and unstable path, do not despair, a change for the better is coming. Every step along your journey, every thought you have ever had, no matter how much the ego has chosen to judge it and you for it, will be used by God for good. You will get through the ego’s storm, and your life experience, will become the teaching tools that you will have hanging from your belt, to offer to others who still believe that they can only live in the storm. You will become a shelter to them, and then as you guide them to a place of peace, you will get that it was only because you yourself have been through and overcome the storm, that you can help guide others out of it.
Today, let us practice not judging others or ourselves, for simply being a part of the human experience. For many times, the best way we learn that we no longer want to live in this judgmental state, is to experience it long enough, or enough times, so that we finally get that this is not how we want to go through life. In the end, all those experiences where we judged ourselves and others, as not good or worthy enough, were just stepping-stones on our way to “getting it.” Getting, that we deserve a better way. Getting, that light can come out of the darkness. Getting, that the storm does not last forever, and that we can hold on until a break in the clouds appear. Getting, that no matter how much we have been programmed to judge ourselves for our life experience, that it can and will be used by God for good. Today, let us begin to understand the gift that our accumulated life experience with judgment gave us, and get that thanks to it, we are now open to a more kind, gentle, loving, understanding and compassionate path. As we begin to awaken to the truth within us, we will start to see and realize that each and every one of our storms, cumulatively, has helped get us to where we are now, and has helped us become who we are today. And so today, let us offer them our gratitude, not our judgment, for helping us reach this more self-aware, peaceful and honorable place in our life. Equally so, let us offer all those who were a part of our storms, gratitude, for helping us remember that there is indeed a more respectful, kind and generous way, of treating ourselves and others. You have come far, and it is your courage and determination, that has helped you become who you are today. No longer dismiss your inner strength, no longer dismiss Whose child you are, nor the love that you were created to be.
Today, let us look upon the time we spent in, and the life experience that we accumulated from, our storms, with gratitude, as the gifts that they truly are, each one helping us get closer to where we truly desire to be, the states of peace, love and understanding. It is in these states, where we, as God’s creations, truly belong. It is these states, that we were created to share and extend. Today, let us remember, that God uses each moment, each storm in our journey, to strengthen us and thus to help us accomplish what we have come here to do. We may, in any moment, not be able to truly see or understand the growth that is occurring, but the more we look back at our life, the more we will realize the gifts that our past has brought us. Your path, your journey, is a sacred co-creation with God. If your journey is a sacred co-creation, then every single step along that path, is in reality, equally a blessing. Align with this memory, align with your sacred nature, recall that we are all One, and trust that everyone else’s journey is deserving of this same understanding. It is this understanding, and the practice of aligning with this understanding, that will reduce your need for judging yourself and others. The more this need for judgment is reduce, the more peaceful, loving and joyous your journey will become. Judge yourself no longer for being human. Being human, is an act of courage. Every confusing emotion you have ever had, every challenging situation that you have ever experienced, every difficult relationship you have ever gone through, has made you who you the strong and wise person that you are today. God knows your strength, loves you and needs you here right now, exactly as you are. You, just being you, is a service to humanity. Today, do not in any way, shape or form, allow the ego to tell you otherwise.
Today, let us practice not judging ourselves for simply having the human experience. All your difficulties, challenges and life experience, has made you the stronger, wiser and more compassionate person, that you are today. At any specific moment in time, you may not realize that you are being formed into this stronger, wiser and more compassionate person, but if you take a good look at your past, you will begin to better see and understand, all the gifts that came because you had the courage and determination to get through it. Even if you do not yet see your courage, strength and determination, God does, and that is why He has you still here, to help others overcome what you have, or are in the process of, overcoming. To judge yourself as weak or unworthy, is to judge God’s creations as weak or unworthy, and that is not who or how God creates. Today, simply trust that God is right, and that God being perfect only creates perfectly. Today, place your full trust in God’s Love for His child, and that child is, and will forever be, you. Today, leave the unconscious state, were you judge yourself for simply having a human experience, and return to the conscious state, where you can confidently look deep into the mirror, and see God’s perfect child, looking back at you.
