Every moment allows you the opportunity to begin anew. Throughout the day, let us practice consciously returning to the now, the present moment, by asking ourselves: “What kind of day am I, through the thoughts that I am thinking, creating?” Let us practice checking in on ourselves, and deciding if the thoughts, words, feelings, emotions, actions, reactions and interactions, that we are focusing on and supporting, are the ones that are assisting us in creating the day we want. Let us, consciously accept personal responsibility, for our creation. It it we who decide where we will place our time, focus and energy, thus it is we who are responsible for our experience. Let us also take personal responsibility for removing our support, our time, focus and energy, from the thoughts that are not helping us, create the day we want. When you begin to recognize that it is you, who are deciding what to think, and how to act and react, it is then that you will stop blaming the outside world and those in it for the day you are having, and start searching within for solutions and healing. When you are not feeling confident, forgiving, generous, loving or kind, stop and remind yourself, “This is not the kind of day I want. I now choose to stop this way of thinking, acting and being, and return to aligning my thoughts with the kind of day I want. I have control over my thoughts, thus of how I think, act, behave, react and interact, with others and myself. I no longer choose to blame others for what is in my control. Being no longer a slave to the outer world, I now know that I am personally responsible for the kind of day that I experience. I now know that I am the captain of my ship, and that the destination that I arrive to, will simply be a result, of which thoughts I choose to focus on and think.”
How many days of our lives, have we unconsciously acted like zombies, and staggered our way through them, without even checking in on how we were feeling? How many times have we just stop to ask ourselves, what kind of day, we through our own thoughts, were creating? How many of our days did we find ourselves simply unconsciously using the ego’s tools of judgment, anger and resentment, and told ourselves: “Well, I guess this is just the way life is, nothing I can really do about it.” How many days of our lives have we ever consciously woken up from our sleep, and dedicated it to bringing more peace and joy to the world? Every day offers a new opportunity to dedicate yourself to making the world a brighter place, and by doing so, since we are all One, making your own day more peaceful and joyful. What if we, as we woke up in the morning, said something to ourselves like this: “Thank you God for the opportunity of a brand new day. Today, I will show my gratitude, for your gift to me, by dedicating my day to bringing greater peace and joy to our world. Today, I am going to be extra conscious of bringing peace and joy to all those who You place along my path. I am going to stop every hour, just to center myself, and remind myself of today’s goal. Before every encounter I have with a fellow brother or sister, I will remind myself that this day, I am here, sent by God, to bring peace and joy to people’s lives. Their greater peace of mind and joy, today will become symbols of my victories over the ego’s delusional world. Father, I know that we are all One, and so when I help bring peace and joy to any of your children, I know that You Yourself rejoice. When I know that You rejoice because of my actions, it will be I who will absolutely lifted by joy. Thank you God, for the opportunities that I have today, to bring peace and joy to your children. Thank you God, for this sacred day. Amen.”
Today, let us take personal responsibility for checking in on ourselves. By consciously checking in on ourselves, we will slow down time. Our goal during this check in, will be to replace any of our chaotic thoughts, with peaceful thoughts. We will be making the conscious choice to replace our anxious and stress filled thought, with the choice to trust God more. Let us offer gratitude to God, for helping us become more self-aware, enough to shift and lift our internal dialogue. The choice to focus on the thoughts that support chaos or peace, worry or trust, is now ours and ours alone to make. It is our minds, who focuses on and entertains the thoughts we think. It is we, who must make the choice, of which thoughts we allow into our minds. Today, when you find yourself in a chaotic or stressful state, don’t feed and thus grow this mindset by giving it your time, focus and energy. Also, don’t judge yourself or others if you once again fall into the ego’s pit. Instead slow down time, by asking yourself: “What kind of day do I want to create and thus experience?” Remind yourself that today, it is you who are responsible for the kind of day that you have. Remind yourself, that today you are responsible for checking in on yourself. Then make the conscious decision to breathe deeply, just breathe deeply, breathe in God’s love for you, and breathe out all your judgments, stresses and worries. Do this for a minute or two, and while you do so, just think of God’s love for you. Then say to God: “I now choose You, Your trust and peace over my stresses and worries. Your forgiveness over my judgments. I now place in Your hands all of my judgments, stresses and worries. I now recall that Your Love for me is absolute. I will now trust in You completely and wholeheartedly. By doing so, I consciously replace my chaos with Your peace. Thank you God. Amen.”
Today, let us, as often as we can remember to do so, just take a moment for ourselves to see how we are doing. Let us recall, during those moments, that it is we who are responsible for the thoughts that we think. Let us recall, that if the thoughts that we are thinking, are not bringing us the day we want, then this is the prefect time to begin shifting and redirecting our internal dialogue. If we are having stress and worry thoughts, let us make the conscious choice to instead trust God more. If we are having judgmental thoughts, let us replace them with forgiving thoughts. If we are feeling angry, let us give up our anger to God, and in return breathe deeply in, accept and absorb, His peace, Love and Light. Then let us breathe out, our confusion and pain. By doing so, by checking in on ourselves, we get to reshape our thoughts, so that they can better help us, to create the day we want.
